  1. Not really local but if you ever get caching to Yorkshire/Bradford, drop us a mail. Always happy to help.
  2. Bump. We are from Bradford and always happy to help new cachers in the area.
  3. I have done a lot of long distance walking in the army and the worst thing to be wearing is jeans. Not only do they take ages to dry if you get caught in a shower but they can literally rub you up the wrong way. I wear regatta walking trousers or combat trousers (cheaper and with more handy big pockets).
  4. Ahhhh, my stomping ground. Any cache by twotykes will be fantastic, always fun and the container is always interesting and fun especially for kids. Even makes us laugh.
  5. Here lies Mork - he was first into this hole, in fact it was his only FTF ever.
  6. So do I now, was working fine earlier this afternoon apart from the downloads bit. Will try again tomorrow when all the weekends caches have been logged and its quieter.
  7. 95% of the site is running fine, its the download bit that seems to be down at the moment.
  8. Hiya, Apologies if this has been asked but I couldn't find an answer with the search button. When I used to travel the country with my job I downloaded all caches in the UK as pocket queries, then in GSAK transferred them to tomtom. Either that or the geocache UK site you could do an all in one download of all caches in the UK as POI's. Flying forward to the present day I dont travel with my job but am going on a touring holiday so am looking for a way to get all UK caches as POI's without creating all the pocket queries. I see geocache UK site still does the download but it does not seem to work. I have created pocket queries for the places I am actually visiting but is there a one stop download that gets all UK caches into tomtom to alert me on the route if I pass any. I know I can do caches along a route but was hoping to get one big download. Thanks for your help in advance.
  9. I for one will be celebrating by having a pint or two later.
  10. Check out this TB, and this one. A good tattoo artist can make a nice TB tattoo for you . . . Just as I have had done.

  12. Another bump to keep it on top. We are in Bradford and always happy to help in the great muggle conversion program. Just drop us a line.
  13. BlueDeuce is correct. The Travel Bug logo and the word "Travel Bug" are registered trademarks of Groundspeak and may not be used for commercial purposes without permission from Groundspeak. Generally, for these products, we have a commercial logo license agreement that we send to companies or individuals who wish produce and sell these types of products. One there is an Agreement in place, they are official authorized to produce and sell merchandise bearing the logos and will promote their products as being officially licensed. If you are unsure if a product is officially licensed, ask the vendor or send an email to contact@Groundspeak.com and we'd be happy to help. If the vendor says "yes" and you're not sure, email us and we can confirm. For those who would like to use a purchased Travel Bug tracking number (no logos) and include text like "Trackable at Geocaching.com", it would be ok without a commercial license. Hmmmmm, does that mean that the new travel bug tattoo I have on my arm is illegal. Hope they dont try to remove it - ouch
  14. Best wishes from both of us for the rest of your tour and come home safe. This is just to let you know we appreciate what you are doing. I have just retired after 20 years due to a self dislocating knee (I should have been there now).
  15. Saw the coin at a meet yersterday Dorsetgal so its still touring the country, we made a pledge and are hoping to get a cache out before xmas (It is a great time to place it as I am on crutches with my leg in plaster so I can test it).
  16. I need help with a travel bug. The story goes that I picked up a travel bug and was going to move it on, in the meantime I was called up by the TA for a trip to Afghanistan and so I started my training. I was going to move the bug on while on leave. In the meantime I very badly dislocated my knee and am in plaster for 6 weeks (confined to the sofa) and wont be walking before xmas. Therefore if there are any kind cachers in West Yorkshire (Bradford) or anyone passing through that can move this bug on for me (I feel guilty having kept it so long already), then I would be most greatful. Obviously you would have to collect it but I can offer a brew and a choccie buiscuit. many thanks for the help
  17. Just a test, please ignore.
