  1. I hate it. It's a horrible, hateful space hogger of a layout. From the top, I can only see as far down as the first 2 pinned topics. There is far too much wasted space between the posts and the default font size is way too big. There is no break between the posts and the signature, and the flags have gone from the country forums as well. Having said all of that, it's not likely to change so we might as well get used to it.
  2. There was a TB tag and number published at some point in the fairly recent past where hardly anyone logged it. I can't give any more informartion about it, as it wasn't my TB and I don't know if the original intentions are public yet?
  3. Do a PQ of your own caches, load it into GSAK, run the AddLogs macro and the info should become apparent.
  4. Wild guess.... I think you are called Paul, and I don't suspect that we've met?
  5. I personally think the guardians of the golden ammo can should respect the original wishes and intentions of the Weston-super-Mega committee (me included) that it should only be available at Mega events and passed from committee to committee.
  6. again and Events interrupted while people apply steristrips to busted noses
  7. My "pet" hate is when people turn a very enjoyable caching thread into an anti dog/dog owner thread.
  8. I have a couple of United Kingdom geocoins available for sale. Email me if you are interested and I'll point you in the right direction. Issued in 2005, they were one of the first (if not THE first) UK Geocoins. These are both unactivated, but one can not be activated as it is a misprint with a 7 digit trackable code. Collectable, or junk? You decide! The other one is unused/unactivated and ready to go!
  9. Congrats Ernie! I'm glad I got my guess in just in the nick of time Thanks Stuey... no offence but I'm glad I turned out to be me and not Stuey as suggested earlier. I'm glad I turned out to not be a reviewer, lol (time is too valuable at the mo).
  10. I've posted NM and NA logs on caches in areas I plan to go to sometimes. It helps tidy up the PQ's
  11. Congrats Ernie! I'm glad I got my guess in just in the nick of time
  12. That was my immediate thought when I googled and found Ilchester, but.... now I'm going to put my neck on the block and say that I don't think it is Les as he would be reviewing caches in our own area and probably wouldn't manage to avoid looking at the hints I'll be happy to be proved wrong though
  13. Thanks Chris, I was really struggling to set this up again on my new laptop. I couldn't understand why the changes I'd made to memory.txt weren't making any difference. I then deleted memory.txt, and the macro still ran! Decided to trawl the forum, and lo and behold, found your wonderful guide to setting this up on Windows 7. Thanks so much, from a newly "Windows 7" enlightened techie. I learnt a few interesting facts about this new OS as well as getting the macro to work! Cheers! Stuey
  14. Got home from work to be old that there was a short piece on Geocaching during this afternoons Escape to the Country. It's on BBC iPlayer of course..... so here you are: iPlayer link 17 minutes 45 seconds in. Does anyone know Zoe Griffin from the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre? It was a nice piece, with a proper big ammo box used as an example cache, in nice rolling countryside too.
  15. Delete I was at on Scafell Pike shortly after I'd first tried caching, but before I'd got hooked. I had a photo of me at the summit, with my GPS as well (I bought it as a hiking aid), so when I saw there was a virtual cache and I satisfied all of the criteria, I declined to post it as a Find as I'd not been there "caching". I went back many years later and did it properly, ie, I went there with the intention of getting the cache. Let these cachers do the same.
  16. I think it's very cool to get in the training module and get a pic up on the real ISS but I think it should be changed to a Note rather than a find. Close, but no cigar
  17. Have they annouced a figure for 10/10/10 caching yet?
  18. Oops, went out for a walk this morning, ended up finding six caches by accident. How did that happen?
  19. I might deliberately not find a cache tomorrow, just to be different, lol
  20. Try emailing some previous finders, explain your predicament, see if they'll let you know the final co-ords?
  21. I think I might do one next year on Nov 11th, probably shortly after 11am Presumably poppy themed? If I remember
  22. Oh, Er, what happens in 2013 then? We wait..... 88 years!
  23. Wow, what a great thing to be able to do! Monotonous I'm sure, but congratulations from me for keeping at it! I'd love to get a chance at that one, just for the heck of it!
