  1. The poor mug who comes along the next day and spends an hour looking for a non-existent cache.
  2. EDIT: on reflection I'm retracting my comments.
  3. Wildfire S is much better than the Wildfire. Make sure you don't get the wrong one.
  4. It's not a link. I underlined it to highlight the fact that it is a rare webcam cache that I am talking about. If it was a link that was wrong, you could have said it's NM
  5. I'm considering posting a NA on a certain London webcam cache.... but think I'll be hated for it from some people. Hence my hesitance.
  6. M14.... best torch I never bought (it was a £60 present!). Awesome torch!
  7. I love it when things appear when you tilt your screen
  8. Took about 30 seconds to solve that one! Me too (proof: At the top of the *****). Neat though!
  9. At least there are no spelling or grammar mistakes on the cache page. I've found a few totally blank cache pages (blank trads, blank puzzle pages are ok), and I left a "This log intentionally left blank" log
  10. If you want to get a new cache type for your profile, there is my Virtual cache in Paignton <Link>
  11. Hi Roy, Here are my genuine (original) travelling trackables, out there in the wild, moving from cache to cache by cachers. Back from Down Under... Again! 77820 mi Stuey's Pilot Piggy 30622 mi The Cache Cow 26561 mi The Three Wise Monkeys Great Race - Hear No Evil 8528 mi Stuey's Gold Wales Geocoin 5768 mi Stuey's Event Junkie 'Pengy and Tigger' Geocoin 5529 mi
  12. It's a great location for a cache yes. I used to have a 5/5 cache that finished at the top of one of the chalk pinnacles opposite the entrance to the cave, which was interesting to get to! It too had spectacular views of the East Devon coastline. Dorset is a short distance away with mainly distant views towards Portland.
  13. 77,000 miles for my "Back from Down Under" bug which is in my possession at the moment after completing a third intercontinental mission earlier this year. Shortly to start another one!
  14. I use it to keep track of a friendly rivalry between me and one specific team of cachers. It would be much easier to just bookmark their profile page, surely?
  15. You really think Groundspeak care two hoots about losing $30??? I doubt that very much.
  16. Exactly! It would be so much easier to just respect the wishes of the cache owner and Groundspeak, delete the video and move on, thus avoiding a site ban and all this ridiculous discussion about what is and isn't allowed. It's supposed to be fun.
  17. I did the same, on a cache near the London Eye. A great hide, considering the location.
  18. Of course! If it was a favourite, it gets a favourite point. I have got 470 favourite points available. I have 126 unassigned, and 344 awarded. 25 of which have been given to archived caches. Then whoever chastised you is an idiot. Would they therefore suggest that if a cache that you had given a favourite point to was archived, that you remove your favourite point and award it elsewhere? I think not.
  19. Not to be recommended if you've got FTF flags set... I solved that little conundrum by only ever using the anacronym FTF in a log if I am actually FTF. If I have been beaten to ftf and wish to mention it in my log, I type it in full. I then just reload my My Finds, and do a text search in my logs for FTF, then set the FTF flag for the resulting search records.
  20. If you want something a little bit different, I have a LED Lenser M14 with a microprocessor controlled switch which also has a strobe mode. Not much cop for caching, but it's fun around the camp fire!
  21. Failed "Devon Cachers on Facebook".... FB link Failed Devon Geocachers group.... Link Apathy rules
  22. I'm afraid there has never been a great apetite for a local forum for Devon. There are a lot more cachers around now though, so you might get more of a take up. Good luck.
  23. I'm not going to mention specific people/logs as there are hundreds of poor attempts. The IndiHM Abbey Road log is excellent by the way, nice and clear. It's a shop. I can tell by the pixels and from having seen quite a few in my time. Yep, I think you're right. Oh yes! It looks too focussed compared to the other ones.
  24. I have no idea what I do! I don't think about it, I'm usually on autopilot, but probably log in the style of the previous finder.
