  1. Another one filed also - logged under 'Delivery Issues' - 'No items received'. thanks.
  2. It is an unfortunate situation. A number of people will head specifically to a cache with a coin so they can see a geocoin. It's quite disappointing to find it isn't there, so owners of a cache can mark them unknown so people don't come looking for them. You don't get an email as the coin owner (although you should, I figure it's a Groundspeak issue). As Rockin Roddy said, if the coin reenters circulation, the logger can just grab it from the unknown location.
  3. Short answer - Paypal only allows 45 days for a refund. Sure we can go through lawyers and courts, but we won't. We'll have our 'Fingers Crossed' that something will come out of this and it won't be a total loss, but we no longer have much hope.
  4. Thank you so much for the cointest, Fingers Crossed for sure Still got our fingers crossed for you too... Email sent. Woot!
  5. We'll have a bash at this too How about Portland Head Light in Maine?
  6. The spookiest experience we had was while walking an abandoned rail trail. We hit the trail heading for the cache just as darkness was falling. We only had one small flashlight, but we were only getting one last quick cache... (Famous last words eh!) We walked down the trail in the drizzle, and no moonlight, and pretty much pitch black by the time we reached the cache location. It was quiet except for the hiss of the drizzle hitting the ground. As we reached GZ, we had a quick look and we checked the cache description... uh oh - it's a nano and a tricky one :S We didn't want to be the DNF Duo! So we spent a while searching with our small and not too bright flashlight! We were lucky enough to find it and quite surprised we had! While crunching through the gravel on the trail, thoughts of ghost trains and other creepy scenarios as we walked along in the darkness, it's surprising how many times we looked over our shoulders since the drizzle and rain masked the noises...
  7. Here's a few pics of some wildlife we've come across while caching - usually the deer make a run for it before the camera is ready
  8. I dislike waiting because it sometimes takes away precious time I could be spending with my family
  9. I don't like to wait on people who are unnecessarily slow. I feel it wastes my time and I tend to be a busy person. Good Luck Joel! We have our Fingers Crossed for you!
  10. Click the 'tree' in the tool bar here... Then paste the picture address in the window that pops up. Your address would be 'http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/b76f9699-4403-4a86-b84e-8a854b65288d.jpg' and it will show like this... Hope that helps. FC
  11. Well, here's a pic of the GPS'r with the Nitro - please note, Color coordinated Here's a few where we did the Wrangler series here in ONtario. The truck in one picture wasn't as lucky, so we decided we would park and walk from that point!(GCNWZC) The Swift Rapids cache (GC619)... Soggy foot - this was a hoot - about 5 of these pools to go through and a hohum one to finish. We do enjoy taking the jeep/Nitro out for a gut busting bounce down the trails, seeing if we can make it, hoping that we do! A couple of scary situations, but nothing we couldn't handle! FC

  17. Hi Roddy, It was great to meet you at GeoCoinFest. The kids have activated the coins you gave them and look forward to their travels. Princess Butterfingers was so touched, she asked to release another of her coins in Tods memory, which we happily did. We also thought it was a great cause, so we released one of ours too So, here's 4 coins for your tracking. Thanks for the cointest and the awareness. Fingers Crossed. TB2FE72 - Todie's Wild Ride: Extra Extra! TB1A72P - Todie's Wild Ride: Princess Butterfingers TB1A5MG - Todie's Wild Ride: Hawkeyez on the road. TB2F9HX - Todie's Wild Ride: PBF's Wish
  18. I did some digging and found this... "Is there any Travel Bug etiquette? Use the Golden Rule when you find a Travel Bug. Most owners would rather see their travel bugs do a lot of travelling, so try not to hold on to a travel bug for too long. If you plan on holding onto the bug for more than 2 weeks, make sure to send a courtesy email to the owner letting them know. " This I found under travel bugs HERE Thought I'd let you know where they found it, right or wrong. (Wrong IMHO) I suspect they don't understand the difference between TB's and Coins, but IMHO they should both be logged as soon as you can. FC.
  19. Not in real life yet but Fingers Crossed It is a great looking coin!
  20. Oh so many to choose from both past and present. From the golden oldies of Pong on the TV set, I moved onto text adventure games. One of them called Eureka had a $25000 prize for the person who completed it first. I mastered Space Invaders, Scramble and Asteroids. I played several games on and off, most of them were Sim Games. I own most of them. Simcity, SC2000,SC3000,SimCopter,Streets of Simcity to name a few. Most recently over on the XBox360 Oblivion was a great experience with a large world to walk through and many quests you could complete as you wander through the world. Currently I'm hooked on Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare, playing it online with 8-16 other players. It does a good job of handling realism and gameplay. Thanks for the cointest!
  21. I was hoping you were going to say your MrJiffy coin arrived, silly me! Congrats, this was a great package to receive instead.
  22. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the excitment and awe of a child. While headed back to our room after GCF, Princess Butterfingers (our 9 year old daughter), hesitated for a moment, then plucked one of these beauties from its hiding spot. She was in total awe, glitter is one of her most favourite things, and best of all, it was hers to keep. Thank you for your generosity, I have a little girl who is absolutely tickled pink, thanks to you!
