Thanks again! I bought an eTrex Vista for $280 on amazon.com, plus there's a $50 rebate so it'll be $230 when all is said and done. (Plus free shipping!!!) From what I've heard from most people and reviews, it seems like almost all units are good for beginners, and each person has his/her own preferences. Hi Everyone, My husband loves to geocache with his brothers. I thought it'd be fun to get him his own equipment as a surprise birthday gift...something not too expensive but not cheap (quality-wise) either. Any recommendations???
