  1. So was the "Marwell" initiative ever implemented or is it going to be? To allow the bug owner as well as the cache owner to null a bug would be a very useful feature.
  2. We have a local unsrupulous individual who appears to be seeking out travel bugs, taking them, and leaving printed cards saying "GeoCache Pest Control" with the date of the theft written on it. Terribly funny I know. Aside from the issue of tracking this jackass down, the other problem is that the caches are stacking up with bugs that aren't there because that's the last place they were logged. How do you get them removed from the cache? Contact the owner and ask them to remove them?
  3. This is an unusual one we logged today. It's ar1943 on the University of Florida campus. It was located on a rooftop. http://www.geocaching.com/mark/details.asp?PID=AR1943
  4. I came across two benchmarks with the same coordinates. According to the data sheets one (ar0448) was designated "E 146". The second (ar0733) was designated "E 146 RESET". Does this mean that the original was lost/destroyed and replaced by the RESET benchmark?
  5. While looking for benchmarks I have come across several of what I think would be called "survey disks". They are small disks that look like they are nailed to the ground. They are right at or very close to a location where a benchmark disk was supposed to be located. In each case I believe there was relatively recent construction that may have destroyed the original benchmark. Have these disks be replaced by surveyors on the location of the original disk? If so are they still considered by NGS as "there"?
