  1. I was out early morning about a month ago. The coords pointed me to a busy off ramp at one of our main roads with the freeway. I parked nearby and was scouting around when suddenly I heard someone call my name. Sure enough a work associate with Dept. of Transportation was sitting in a car with his family looking very questionably at me. I work for the city. Since I knew them all I tried to make small talk, instead of answering his question of "What are you doing out here?" It was a very long traffic light. Finally as they were pulling away, he asked again what I was doing, and I answered that I was checking out the traffic box for them. The end result, the cache had the wrong coords posted, so I was miles from the correct location. Next time I will wear my orange vest to make myself look more official.......
  2. I have a yellow Garmin Venture Cx - $150 + shipping - are you interested?

    Cache size

Ok, maybe I am not seeing it, but didn't the cache pages used to show the size of the cache? I know there is that little drawing, but it would help. thanks
  4. Ok, I have filled out the form in many different ways, I get back, No results. Can anyone point me to a step by step guide how to do this please? thanks, Lories
  5. But honey, you can have my old one.......and here is a Nordstrom gift card to go with.....
  6. I have a couple left still.... Not to tell you what to do, but if you are looking for a second PDA for just caching, why not go with a M100, M105, M150, etc (IE., a less expensive option) than something with bells & whistles that increase your cost, yet will seldom get used? TheBattons ok, I am open for something else, as long as the screen is color. do you sell others?
  7. Hi B's do you still have a zire available? sounds like it would come in handy for caching, but I hesitate to use my work pda, just in case. Lori
  8. Not while caching...... Julia Roberts, nearly knocked her down while racing down a narrow set of stairs at a posh Hawaiian Hotel. She looked like a deer in the headlights. The first Joe Millionaire bachelor guy, with another woman, having breakfast, Hotel Monaco, DC Marlee Matlin, outside the Chop House, DC Leonardo DiCaprio filling up at a gas station in Anchorage, Alaska
  9. You guys are too sweet. I Enjoy your life together.
  10. I found my first one today, and did look for a fairly large one. after that I did get skunked, but sooner or later, I will find it. thanks
  11. Hi, I am ready to call Garmin support tomorrow, but wondering if anyone has problems. I have gone through the tutorial and chosen and saved my maps, but when I go to download them to the GPS (I have a garmin venture cx) it only shows serial port. I click the tab for usb, and it says none recognized. I have been able to download waypoints using EasyGPS, but can't seem to get the topo and maps in there. drivers from garmin are downloaded. Has anyone had this problem and identified a fix for it yet please? thanks much. I have not found one cache yet, so thinking the topo would really help.
  12. hi, thanks for the support. I rechecked the web site and found a couple of easy, large finds close to objects I know, so I am going out again later to see if I can find. I have a garmin venture cx. I checked and I am on the correct datum, but the ones I was looking for, others said they were hard to find and one was a micro. so will save that for summer along with the swamp thing one. and I am trying like heck to remember the movie your quote comes from, it is on the tip of my tongue, I loved that movie........wherever you go, there you are. thanks I am going to post another question re mapsource
  13. ok, I loaded in some locations and went out to look for 3 the other day. I could not find any of them. I think one was in a swamp, which when reading the comments appears logical and I may have to wait a month or so. I think another one was across the road from where I was, but does anyone have any hints. I mean you go to the screen with the little compass, and then you walk in the direction of the red line, am I doing this right? my family is totally fed up and thinks this is really stupid. I am going to try again, is there also a listing of easy easy ones in my area? any thoughts, anyone?
