  1. I have Mapsend Topo 3.0. I wanted to know what is the latest version? I've been searching Magellan's website and I cant find anything. Thanks!
  2. Being a tech-junkie I have a Suunto Altimax (I don't trust the electronic compass) that I use backpacking, snowboarding and other outdoor adventures. I use just about every feature on the unit and wounld'nt trade it for the world.
  3. I have Black Diamond Moonlight that I use for backpacking (I always carry a mini maglite as backup) and it has served me well in the backcountry. I haven't used it for caching but it emits enough light for walking (I wouldn't use for running at night) around in total darkness when looking for a spot pee at two in the morning. There are so many headlamps on the market today I would really recommend you go to your local camping/mountaineering store and test a few in person. I did just that and it saved me $25 on a headlamp that would've been overkill. REI-Outlet.com has the PrincetonTec Aurora on sale for $22.43 and Black Diamond Space Shot $36.93. click link below http://www.rei.com/online/store/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=40000008001&langId=-1&storeId=8001&categoryId=22000137 REI has all lamps mentioned in this post and more http://www.rei.com/online/store/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=40000008000&langId=-1&storeId=8000&categoryId=4500596 Good Luck!
  4. I plan on purchasing a mapping program soon. The two I'm thinking about are Delorme Topo Regional (Pacific Region) & National Geographic Topo (California). I will use it for caching and planning backpacking trips. I'm asking users of both programs their likes and dislikes and the print quality of each. I'm also open to suggestions of other programs. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
  5. I have a Meridian yellow and I was thinking about purchasing Mapsend Topo until I learned about National Geographic Topo. I'm hoping to get input from users of each program explaining the + & -. Thanks!
