  1. I beleive I know who you're speaking of with the caches, and if so, I know that the cacher had them adopted and if they weren't adopted, the cacher was going to archive them. I do not know the reasons behind it though.
  2. I will say that I am willing to pay less than $20 for a magazine subscription. As some have said, pay more for some coins and then they go missing. I am sure that there will be articles that would interest everyone and hopefully involve various locations/caches of interests around the world. So with that said, I'm going to order my magazine and then share it with the local cachers at the next meeting so they can see firsthand what it's all about. Might even see if I can get a subscription donated for the auction at our upcoming event! So .... no need in bashing the magazine. If you don't care to subscribe, then don't. If you think you might like it, order it, read it, and decide if it's something you would continue your subscription on.
  3. Found a nice little suprise today while caching after work here in South Carolina .... yep, a Great Geo-Pumpkin!! Now, only one question, where do you log it? It's a mystery to me. (smile) Ballentine Buddies
  4. Found a coin in a cache today and put in the code and it wasn't activated. Can't figure out where to get the activation code at. One side it has "You are the search engine" "Used with permission from Groundspeak.com" On the other side it has an American flag and eagle with 2006 and it says "Track this coin" "www.geocaching.com" and it has the code on this side. Can anyone tell me how to find the activiation code? It obviously has not been activated, but seems to be a trackable coin. Any help is appreciated.
  5. I didn't see an organization for South Carolina. Is there one that anybody knows of?
  6. I am very new to geocaching. Could anyone please tell me how I can bookmark so I don't have to do my search each time and I can also map them? I found my first, and only so far, geocache yesterday. I was thrilled. Watch outh South Carolina. (laughing) Any help on bookmarking is appreciate.
