  1. Do you mean ~other~ than mapquest? You can put coordinates for mapquest at this link. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/latlong.adp Marty
  2. Why, when you pull up a travel bug's tracking map, there are no state lines, lakes, or any other information. Aren't these kind of basic requirements for a map?
  3. More FamilyFun! Any idea when we might start seeing the state lines on the travel bug tracking map? I've only seen a message or two about this in the forums. Does this bother anyone else? Marty
  4. More FamilyFun! Yes, there are a lot of TBs out where Search 1128 and I are. I actually grabbed 5 in the last week and dropped them at different locations on Friday and Saturday. It's great fun! Yes, going to "log your visit" is the only way you can check out which bugs you actually hold. Go to any cache page and click on "log your visit" and check your bugs. You don't have to actually save a logged visit, just hit the back button when you're done.
  5. I have 4 sons, and I've sent 4 travel bugs out on a race to the 4 corners of the US. Check them out here. Not sure how much interest they'll get, but one of them has been picked up twice within the last 4 days!
  6. These TBs are expensive! If I'm going to shell out $5 a pop, you can be sure I'll put instructions on them. I've got my 4 sons' racers out there, and I've got instruction tags on each of them. Hopefully, they'll not get lost. (You can see their race here ) I've only found 1 bug in the 'wild' (with no instructions) but I took the liberty of adding them from the website to Micro Bug. Too pushy? (I never did ask the owner)
  7. After reading some of the stories on this forum, I'm a bit scared for my sons' travel bugs. We sent 4 travel bugs out yesterday from Utah, and they're racing to the 4 corners of the USA. You can see them Here I put an instruction tag on each of the bugs asking them to place them within 7 days. Is this asking too much of fellow cachers?
  8. >I'm not trying to be a stickler about it, Certainly sounds like you are. I think the bigger issue here is leaving caches on FWS lands. Looks like Ranger Rick has a GPS and a link to geocaching... IMHO, I'd say archive 'em and, keep future caches out of FWS lands. Then stop worrying about what consists of a ‘find’ and get on with your life... (I'm not exactly sure what your logs mean when you said: "Please remove the I found it logs that show that they found a note." )
