I have had coins that disappeared the day I released them and one or two that have been going for years. (Best luck in Europe) And the most excellent thing is having a couple of coins that I thought gone forever which showed back up after YEARS !

Did you go to: http://www.geocaching.com/track/ActivationCodeRetrieve.aspx to try to retrieve the activation code? The Quilt Trail coin makers have been out of business for a long long time.
