Anybody have problem with GSAK freezing on startup?
Lacomo replied to SoCalToolGuy's topic in How do I...?
I am also running XP Home I'm not sure if I have SP3 installed or not. I've not had any problems with GSAK. They have a support forum HERE You should be able to get some help there. -
I delete them after I log them. I see no reason to leave them on the GPSr, they just take up space.

Yes that is this week. Some places around town it's $3.42

A local convenience store in my area has a drawing each week for $10 worth of free gas. I thought this was funny. This weeks winner is Mike Crowe.

I think you have to have them uploaded to the internet somewhere then use HTML to insert them in your description. There are places you can upload them for free. PhotoBucket is one of them. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Go to the cache page and scroll to the bottom. It will say there. 'There are more logs' Click on "View them all on one page " Now go to the first log and it will tell you who the Reviewer was that Published it.

I have never had a cacher "get very pissed" when I ask for a hint or got help to find a puzzle cache. I find it just the opposite in my area. Maybe cachers are just more friendly in my area.

One other place that has not been mentioned. Most Chain Link fences have removable caps on the posts especially on the corners and next to gates. Look under them.

You could get arrested for that.

Just go ahead and fill out the page for a new listing and make sure to uncheck: "Yes, this listing is active (For new listings, if you want to work on this listing before it is reviewed, uncheck this box. Reviewers will only see the listing in the queue when it is checked.) "

I've never heard of a bomb in a cache but I've heard of car bombs, and anthrax in mail boxes. I still drive my car every day and go to my mail box every day.

Yes, and petty and silly to boot! Let cachers cache, you don't need to control them. I agree you don't need to control them. It's only a game and if you let some petty little thing like that bother you then it's your loss, your missing out on some of the fun part of the game.

I own a drill....I believe it's called a 3/8ths drill. It would not make a big hole. So I assume there is another type of drill that makes larger holes. If my drill made big holes...I wouldn't have to ask this question. Again...a regular 3/8ths drill? I have metal bits but the largest one wouldn't hollow a bolt so I assume there is another type of tool to do that. I'm not saying I'm going to make these types of containers. I just want to know how some of these containers are made so I can apply that to my own ideas. You could use a forstner bit in your 3/8 drill. Forstner bits are available in a wide array of diameters typically ranging from 1/4 inch up to over 3 inches. Like other drill bits, they are often sold in sets with an array of sizes. Here's what they look like.

Do it inside, if it's geocaching waypoints you are loading use the Garnin Communicator plugin and a USB cord. to send the loc. files to your GPSr I copied and pasted the stuff below from their website at http://www8.garmin.com/products/communicator/ Communication with your Garmin GPS just got easier thanks to the Garmin Communicator Plugin — the free internet browser plugin that sends and retrieves data from Garmin GPS devices. The Garmin Communicator Plugin lets you connect your Garmin GPS with your favorite website. Once the plugin is installed, just connect your Garmin GPS device to your computer, and you’re on your way. The Garmin Communicator can send and retrieve data from any supported website.

I looked for a cache for a 1/2 hour one time. It was not a micro so I thought it would be easy. Never occurred to me that I might have to dig for it. Turns out it was below ground level but it was still a legal cache. It was at the base of a downed rotten tree covered with leaves and twigs. When the tree fell the roots pulled up and left a good sized hole that the cache fit in rather nicely. The cache owner had not used a pointy object to dig the hole so it was OK.

Do you have "Enable notification" checked on the notification page. Did you choose a Type to Watch. You have to tell it what kind to notify you about. Below is the 3 that I have for mine. Oops, I see you said you did, Sorry If you have one for Multi-cache and not have one for a Traditional Cache then a Traditional Cache is published you wont get a notification for a Traditional Cache. Hope this makes sense, I'm not good at explaining stuff like that. Log type(s): Publish Listing Event Cache Log type(s): Publish Listing Multi-cache Log type(s): Publish Listing Traditional Cache

That still wouldn't explain why my 'found it' log on one of my caches is not showing up. Is anybody else seeing this problem? I have gone to our cache page before and wondered where the log went....they used an earlier date that is on the next page or they deleted their log. If you go to the user profile for the person - and found caches, this might catch what they did. - or not. Shirley~ Thanks Shirley~, That's exactly what happened in my case. They had found the cache that they logged today quite a while back. Probably is the AVG Free antivirus like the others posted. Now how do we fix it? Is turning off the email scanner the only way?
