  1. Yeah and mayby we coild all get a "forum" discount.
  2. OK I have a newbee question. What's to keep someone from moving a cache 500 ft and updating the coordinates then go back and move it another 500 ft in the same direction, therefore moving it 1000 feet. Will the second move revert back to the original coordinates and not let you do that?
  3. Congratulations! Now you're hooked. There's no way to get out.
  4. Garmin Venture Cx I got mine on Amazon.com for around $180
  5. I was caching in a beautiful little park near where I live. Came upon an older lady and a young man kinda running around in circles carrying a small black bag right at GZ and I hollered out: Find it yet?" The old lady said oh no! We are here to take pictures of my grandson. Made me feel like a dadgum fool so I just said, Oh OK and turned and walked off. Went back later and found the cache.
  6. You can have a seperate profile pic. Go to "Edit Profile" and scroll down and click the link I have circled.
  7. I also use a Palm M505 with cachemate. Works just fine for me and you can get them pretty cheap on ebay.

  10. Just look at my stats....found 54....hid 1. I've got the other 53 down in the basement. Maybe I'll get around to hiding them back sometime.
  11. Why not just ban all caches? Think of how much gas we could save.
  12. Excellent Man you did a great job and I really appreciate it.
  13. AmishHacker, man you do some awesome art work. Do you think you could make me an avatar. A combination of any or all of the stuff below. I live in Missouri. Male, my handle is first 2 letters of Laclede County and the abbrev for Missouri. I like the geo colors yellow, green, blue and orange. I drive a Silver colored Jeep Grand Cherokee and I use a Garman etrex Venture Cx.
  14. CYBret, you need to tell us where the "secret mushroom hunting" locations are so we will be sure and not place any caches there.
  15. I have somehow came up with an extra camo box lid. I have thought about sticking a magnetic key holder on it and placeing it as a cache out in the woods just laying next to a tree with the magnetic key holder stuck under it. It would look like a muggled cache but it wouldn't be because the cache was still there. What do you think? Bad idea? or what?
  16. Thanks Doughball, I'll probably grab 1 or 2 anyway. I didn't know how to search for them.
  17. I'm going to be traveling Interstate 64 all the way across Illinois from St Louis all the way to the Indiana line. I would like to find a cache or maybe 2 in a rest stop. Just because I've not yet found any in Illinois. I'm going to be rushed for time so I don't want to exit the Interstate other than at a rest stop. Do any of you know of any rest stop caches along that route? Edit: OOPS spelled geocaching wrong in title and couldn't change it...LOL
  18. Would you believe I'm 39 ? Didn't think so! I'm 64 and my wife is 63.
  19. OK guys, I think I got it figured out at least part way now. You guys have been really helpfull and I really appreciate it. Thanks a Bunch...........Lacomo
  20. I download from a Search Page.
  21. Can someone tell me why the info on the 3 colums I have put a red X in are not showing up? Also all the D/T are showing up as 1/1 Thanks in advance.
  22. According to my records I am tied for last place. I've only been geocaching about a month and I have zero FTF. I don't know how to figure the ratio on that so I'll need some help to figure it out.
  23. It's sure not worth worrying about. It's a fun hobby and if it ever starts to really bother me I will quit it. I guess it just hit me wrong and I probably should not have even mentioned it. I'm over it now lol. I'll keep doing what I'm doing, because I'm hooked on geocashing and I'll keep trying to do the right thing.
  24. I am new to this geocaching stuff and I got my first cache hid and I plan to monitor it pretty close. The first person to find it took a $5 lottery ticket and a $1 gold coin and left a 25 cent ball and complained about the ticks. Is this the way its done? If it is I apologise to everyone because I've been doing it all wrong.
