  1. Hmmm, Paris Hilton and yeast in the same thread.... nah- too easy!
  2. Received coin today.... ooooooo shiiiinieeee ! Thanks CnC for the cointest fun and the sparkling addition to my humble collection! Rick
  3. Thanks for the Cointest & fun. Of course I figured Brady's yardage with him being KO'd in the 3rd quarter to hold him & the score down, but I'll settle . Got my son mad at me (cause he thought I was jinxing the Gints) when the Pats started their last drive and I explained that I could have a perfect guess if NE kicked a FG to send into OT @ 17 and the Giants returned OT kickoff for TD. Don't think either of us coulda took that much nervousness...
  4. closest to actual score from what i can see I see no other winner here my self other then the above quoted. To give it to some one who picked the Pats in my opinion is wrong. But thats just me. It's your game. Sounds like arm chair logging. To each his own. Yes, please remember it is just a game. I would like to keep doing these occasionally for fun but don't want to do them if I have to paste 2 pages of rules. It's just for fun. BTW-think my (& Plaxico's) 23-17 was closer on the Giant pickers (+9 v. + 10 on total)- but you can't deny someone who nearly pegged it exactly in this close a call...
  5. Awesome score pick by Stellarscapes! I had actually started a post right after the game that I bet he wished he was a Giants fan but as I typed it looked as if it could be taken wrongly as a "nyah, nyah" deal which it wouldn't be intended as.
  6. I've seen the slugs in the wild, they're a good inexpensive alternate to coins (at coinsandpins.com), similar in cost & anti disappearingness are Generic Geocoins and Cache Movers (geoswag.com/oakcoins)- I have a few of those out and about as well as tags.... can't make myself cut loose a pretty coin so they ride around in my box...
  7. I'll go with Plaxico.... Gints...... 23 Patsies... 17 He should know!
  8. The little blue micro. Viagra's blue? I had no idea what colour it was... You should always look at what you're taking before you take it. Heavy usage has been known to affect color perception in the blue range
  9. Has nothing to do with people liking Whoopi Goldberg movies, wait maybe it does! If she put out something good than people would flock to theaters blowing there discretionary funds on Junior Mints and cold popcorn and warm sodas and wouldn't have anything left to buy coins with and that would drive down demand and hence the price would drop! Come on Whoopi- save us!
  10. The copyright thread by Tokencollector linkie is broken, so I end up back here... 1) a 'Fair Resolution' would have been "Neat coin, Good Luck with it" - not looking for cash settlement. 2) check out scoutstuff.org and look at just about any item with an Eagle on it and you'll see why I say that Mike's coin bears more resemblance to other scout stuff than the 333 coin does to his. 3) I see a different shape, a different front design, different layout and font of the same words on the back. As I said before, there are only so many ways to fit words on a coin. 4) I defer to Graniteman on the banner- suffice to say if you look on Scoutstuff you see lots of the same style banners and scrolls for putting names, Troop numbers, slogans etc. on. 5) The closest argument I can see for any close resemblance is the use of the Fluer d Lis as a finishing accent- but again that's not unique nor is the colorization. So let's see... the tiny Fluer are what... 1% of the back design (at most)? That would be $0.50- hardly worth the stamp, envelope or paper to send.
  11. As a Scouter of 10+ years I agree with what EScout has said here.... the Eagle design on the 'Atwell Original' is more closely identical to other Scout coins, medallions, patches, cups, plates.... ad nauseum than the design being complained about. And the Scout Law... exactly how many ways can you fit the same words on a given space? Just as a matter of curiosity- how much of the sales of the Atwell 'commercial' coin went to BSA or Troops via donation or licensing fees? I see C&P/ AAron Charles on the list of licensees, wonder what the BSA gets for the use. Do they have a per unit fee or a set license for use of each individual trademarked item?

  20. 1. Participating- yes 11/29 2. Received Name- yep 12/01 3. Mission Complete- went postal 12/03 4. Santa Arrived-12/13 ...So i'm getting some looks from the wife when a feminine hair care products box comes in the mail (she gets the same brand) considering I'm not female & I don't have a whole lotta need for hair care products . Suspicion grows when she sees return address is 'Santa'- hmmmm is that a feminine touch she spies as I pull out a cute kitty cat and a gingerbread house and (RED FLAG! ) a big Hershey's Kiss... "But Dearest... I told you it's a Geocoin Secret Santa! " Tensions ease some as I begin to uncover coins, faith in my faithfulness is slowly restored until- a 'Get out of Geo Jail Free' coin! "How does this "Santa" person know you spend your days in a prison?!!".... So I'm left to spend my evening staring at this lovely Compass Rose coin repeating to no one in particular "Oooooo shiny!.... Pretty coin.... " Thanks Santa!!!!!
