  1. Looks like this may be fixed now. It was happening, but now it is not. Thanks!
  2. I like the new feature to see only the caches in the PQ on the map. However, I did notice a bug. Is this the correct place to report it? Caches in which I have logged a DNF are showing up as a smiley on the new map when I view my PQ on the map.
  3. I don't think the iPhone and iPod Touch allow for PDF reading by default, but I did run across an app in the new app store this morning called "File Magnet" that has good reviews. This app will allow you to sync PDF files with your iPhone/iPod Touch. So this also could be a nice method. The nice plus to this method is that you get the cache attributes, something you don't get with PQ results. The downside is that you have to do it one cache page at a time, unless someone knows a trick I don't.
  4. You can browse the app store today and see what apps will be available for the 2.0 Update (which should be available tomorrow), I was sad to see no one had added a geocaching app yet. So I think I will stick with my caches as contacts solution until someone comes up with an app.
  5. I was able to come up with a method that does not required you to "hack" your iPod Touch. Basically you export your caches to a vCard (VCF file) from GSAK. Then import them to Yahoo! Address Book. Then sync with Yahoo! Address Book. I wrote up a more detailed explanation here at my blog.
  6. I did come up with another solution for getting cache listings into my ipod touch with out jail breaking. It basically gets the cache listings into the contacts section of the ipod touch. Not the best solution if you actually use the contacts section, but if you don't use it, then it works nicely. It can't be done the same way as you would with an iPod, but it isn't too hard. Basically I export a vCard file from GSAK then import that vCard file to Yahoo! Address Book. I can then sync Yahoo! Address Book with my ipod touch. This solution should work with the iPhone as well. I wrote a more detailed explanation on my blog, check it out here.
  7. It would be nice to have cache attributes (ex. kid friendly, cows, etc) included with the PQ results. Has this been suggested before? What's the history behind them not being there?
  8. I currently use my ipod nano for paperless caching and I love it. I have a few friends with Sansa mp3 players. I was wondering if anyone has ever done paperless caching with their sansa mp3 player? If so, how did they do it? Thanks.
  9. Actually no. Like you said, many folks don't actually use the attributes, so I don't want to exclude caches that don't have any winter attributes at all. I'm only interested in excluding caches where the cache owner took the extra effort to say that it was NOT winter friendly. If I used the include winter friendly attribute I would only get the caches that had that attribute.
  10. Thanks for the link. It appears that it is known glitch from at least Sept 2006. Any ideas when they might consider correcting this?
  11. Ok, since we have a good deal on the snow on the ground, I thought I would build a pocket query that excluded any caches that were not winter friendly. The PQ excludes caches, but excludes many more than just non winter friendly caches. When I go back to edit the PQ the exclude attribute is no longer selected. Has anyone else run into this issue? Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a bug in the system?
  12. With out the help of the Groundspeak support I created a copy of the same query I was having trouble with. I set to this run today it and it ran within minutes.
  13. I created two PQ todays. One along a route, the other a standard one. The route was emailed to me, but the 2nd still hasn't generated after 3 - 4 hours? Are other experiencing this same problem. I opened a help ticket and they said that the forum is a better place to look for help than from them.
