  1. I'm not trying to be difficult but what does "a map of my searches" mean? That is something I've not seen on this site. What is it you are trying to do? Are you talking about a map preview of a pocket query? That is another way of saying it.
  2. As of today 6/2/13 I still can not look at a map of my searches. Same problem a map of my current location shows but does not switch to the map of my search. I am Windows 7 and IE 10. Reading posts indicate this should be fixed?????
  3. I am having the same problem as macatac1961. Map preview goes to my home location but never goes to the requested location.
  4. You can run a My Finds PQ to get a listing of all caches you've ever found. I can't think of a way to just get your found caches for a specified time period. I'm not 100% certain that this will work, but try this: go to your PQ page, create a new one. Then when you get to the box that says "and include" choose the boxes "caches I've found" and "found within the last seven days". That should give you a list of all the caches you've found in the past week. If you're looking to make this a custom time period, then I don't know what to do. Hope this works. The obvious problem for such a PQ would be that it would exclude anything archived since you found. I grant that is low chance but it does happen. It works to get a listing for the last week. Would be nice if it was possible to give a time period. andyand
  5. Is it possible to do a PQ to get a listing the caches I have found in any given time period?
  6. Thanks for all the information. I thought I would have to take out the cache because it is at the request of the BLM. I have tried to contact the person by Email but no response. Will probably pull it out next week. Thanks again andyand
  7. I have a regular cache that has been in for years but now for some reason seems to be in a wilderness area. I have been requested to change the cache to a Virtual and remove the actual cache. Can the cache be changed to a Virtual?
  8. Thanks for your info. I am considering getting a new iPhone and being able to use it to find a cache without the cell conection was the main reason for putting out the extra $$$. Has anyone tried it and if so how well did it work in relation to a regular GPS unit?
  9. I currently have an old version of the iPhone and thus can't use the navigate function. I would like to know with the new iPhone with the GPS is possible to save a cache info and later navigate to it if the iPhone no longer has cell tower connection?
  10. My laptop with IE 6 I get the google map with both the normal and print friendly cache listing. My desktop with Netscape 7.0 I get NO map with either normal or print friendly cache listing. I use my desktop for all my listings so must say just give a choice or give back the old maps. Seems to be a lot of bugs in many functions of google I have tried to use.
  11. I had the problem that three PQs I usually just modify the Zip code and run the query again after changing the name. I never had deleted the PQ before. These 3 PQs had been scheduled for last monday and never had run. I deleted the PQs and made new ones and they ran immediate. Sounds like some Que got busted somewhere.
  12. I started caching using a Geode GPS unit that plugs into a Handspring Visor PDA. One feature I enjoyed was all maps were downloaded using the Hotsysn to the PDA and each small map could be added or deleted. This comes in handy when you travel and need different detail map areas. Too bad this company is going out of business, thus I purchased a eTrex Vista. This is when I found that the Mapsource Topo will allow the same function as to selecting what maps you want, BUT when the maps are downloaded to the GPS all map memory is reset and loaded with the new set. Thus if only a small new section was wanted to be added to what the GPS already had the whole map set had to be reloaded and the time to reload was considerable if the map set was large in size. Garmin says this is true for all Garmin GPS units. Does anyone know if this is true with the Meridian and Mapsend Topo? Magellan will not give me an answer from their support group. The Meridian used SD memory cards and I beleive there is a device that uses the USB that can write these map sets to an SD card that can then be put in the GPS. Does anyone know if this is true and where I can get further info?
