  1. Same problem for me too and GCStatistic also rejects this damaged(?) gpx file as there are no find dates and logs included. I just hope that they will fix this as fast as possible and reset the 7 days counter.
  2. Do you have a premium account at GC? You can only request the gpx file if you're a premium member. If this is not the problem than there may be a bug in GCStatistic preventing the file request. But this wouldn't be a problem as the 'Request gpx file' button only automates the request of that file a bit to make this a bit more comfortable. You can still login to your GC account and click on the 'Add to Queue' button on the 'Build Pocket Queries' page. GCStatistic just automates this click on the button so you don't have to use the browser for that. In any case you have to wait for the gpx file to arrive (in a zipped archiv) in your mail account. You can always request this file thenormal way and import the attached zip file into GCStatistic as there is now download feature provided by Groundspeak for this file If you still have any problems you can always contact me via PN/Chat/Mail... You just have to live with my probably bad english but I try my best to add all the features you're missing or fix those bugs. Greetings from Germany
  3. You can't use a normal pocket querie for this as these pocket queries just query the active database and won't include all the finds of already archived caches. Ok, you can use normal queries if you disable the file check in the settings window but that wont give you correct stats. Instead please use the extra 'Add to Queue' button on the main Pocket Query page. This will generate a special gpx file including all your finds. You don't have to create your own query, just press this spezial button
  4. In version 1.6 there will be a new button in GCStatistic located below the nickname/password editfield allowing you to request this gpx file directly out of GCStatistic. Ithe button will also display the days you have to wait until you can request the next file. version 1.6 can also import the zip file directly so no more unpacking of the file required. The button will still read 'import gpx' but you can open the zip file there also. I hope to have the 1.6 beta 4 up today evening. Also it's labeld beta the 1.6b4 should be working just fine. I just don't want to release it as final yet without further testing to find the last bugs that may hide inside. If there are some features missing or you would like to see another option or whatever just drop me a line.
  5. I know that there is this script but there are two problems with it. First as already written you have to show all logs by default and even if automated this will cause much more traffic and serverload at GC as if they just implement it serverside. And the second problem is that you need Firefox and I will never use Firefox (and no I also don't use IE). But the biggest problem there would be the major server load if every user request all the logs every time.
  6. I would like to suggest a new feature included directly on each cache page. If you have more than 500 founds or so I can't remember each cache I've found and it would be nice to have a small icon/note on the cache page if this is a cache I already have found. And it would be a great addition if on the cachepage all friends who have found the cache were listed. So if I open a page for a specific cache I can see if I already have found this cache and who of my friends (those added using the friend request function) has found this cache. This should be included in the printout so if I'm outside I can call one of my friends listed there if I can't find the cache to ask for a little hint. What do you think about this addition to the cache page?
  7. Just found this thread here but it seams that the problem is already solved? If you have any problems feel free to contact me anytime. I try to answer all the mails within just a few hours. You can also drop me a mail or pm if you would like to see a new feature or have an additional option or whatever. I just uploaded the 1.5 Beta 3 on my page with some new features. The beta is running fine and should work stable under all conditions. So it's just a beta because some of the features I would like to see in 1.5 are not included yet (for example the new map is at the moment only avalable for Germany but you can have a look at the new mapstyle in my gc profile)
  8. Same problem here no matter what browser I use. My problem is that I always end up on server R4 also I reloaded multiple times and even restared the browser / used the other browser. Seams to me that only server R4 is working or loadbalancing is not working?? Map is unusable and without the possibility to use the kml file now I really ask me why I pay for a premium account.
  9. Just a short notice the I released 1.3 beta 3. As we now have new urls for the profile and an updated profile in general the actual beta 2 can't upload the profile anymore. As a quick fix I just took my actual development version and released it with the new profile handler included. This version is not checked for bugs as the other betas but i don't expect any problems with it. The new personal section below the generated statistic is already included and you can see the first hints of the upcomming FTF section. I hope to have this final in 2-3 weeks.
  10. dadgum, I've forgotten to include this. I'll add a radiobutton to switch between miles/kilometers in the next version. I'm just reading the Google Graphs API and hope to include these graphics in the next release. If everithing works as planned the first beta may be availible in 2-3 weeks. But I will upload a 1.11 with the miles option included this weekend as this isn't very compicated to include The centroid and the cumulative find statistic is on the plan for the next release. This weekend I try to upload a roadmap to my website so you can see what is planned in the future releases.
  11. I just downloaded it and it works well. See my profile page to see my not-very-exciting statistics! A word of warning, though... the program is in German so, unless you read German, you may have to look at the English read-me file to get going. You might want to download the new version 1.1. This time there is a working English version too. Version 1.0 was expected to be in English too but sadly my development tool only compiled the German text into the application. Sorry for that Version 1.1 is now available as a seperate English and German version. If you have any problems or suggestions for GCStatistic feel free to post them here or PM/Mail me
  12. I wish they would at least post a short note WHY the site is down again if when they plan to go online again. And if GC really need better servers I would pay more for the membership.
  13. I can recommend the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx. It's not a very cheap unit but it's one of the best in my opinion and it works great with my Mac (OS 10.3.9 but every 10.3/4+ is ok). Garmin doens't ship any special Mac Software as you simply don't need it for normal operation. The only thing that I can't do with my Mac is updating the Firmware (or maybe I just haven't found a tool for this) and maybe you can't install some special maps that come with their own Windows installer. But as this is only required once it should be no problem to ask a friend for this. Everything else works just great in combination with Google Earth and GPSBabel+ (highly recommended for OS X users). For example I'm using the GC.com Pocket Querys and drop the generated .gpx file into my Google Eacth window. Managing all the caches with GE is awesome. And I upload all these caches (about 800 ea here) to my GPSMAP 60CSx by just sending the .gpx file to the unit using GPSBabel+ And importing recorded tracks / routes or waypoints from the unit to GE or the other way is as easy as it can be. And you can mount the units memory card as a normal storage volume. I've installed my map this way by just copying the file onto this 'volume'
