  1. I recently had to get a new computer which meant I had to start all over with GSAK. I can't remember how I put a statistics (my finds) macro on GSAK. Can anyone help? Thanks!
  2. Cool! Thanks so much. That was all very helpful. I am now stuck on one last thing gettin my PDA to sync to my computer so I can load my caches....I have to create a virtual serial port and can not seem to figure out how to do that. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  3. I recently bought a new pc with vista on it. I have been trying to get it to recognize my Tungsten E2 but I can't locate a compatable driver for it. There is nothing on the Palm website and vista doesn't seem to recognzie the one on the disc that came with the unit (the one I had no problem loading using XP). Has anyone else run into this problem, and, if so, what was your solution? Thanks for the help.
  4. My caching team will be in Seatle in July and we're wondering if anyone knows how we go about visiting Groundspeak HQ. We've heard that one must be invited....? Thanks!
  5. We're headed for a four day caching adventure in Victoria B.C.
  6. Thank you everyone. I use a garmin (and yes, it was on, and yes it worked previously to answer other questions ) and using the "new position" did the trick. I'm now caching away in Malaysia. Thanks to everyone for their input!
  7. I'm not sure this is the right place for this question but I'll try anyway. I am in Malaysia and wanting to cache, however, I can't seem to lock on to any satelite here. Is there something I am possibly doing wrong? Thanks!
  8. How about an ophthalmic technician? Does that count? Don't have all the more general knowledge that nurses do, but I've got mad eyeball skills. And I do assist in surgery.
  9. I use an old Handspring Visor I had laying around. I use it with Cachemate and GSAK. I have Windows XP and have never had a problem. I LOVE paperless caching!!
  10. I use Cachemate to load to my PDA. It's free but you can make a donation-totally worth it!
  11. Does anyone know how to change a username once registered? Is it possible?
  12. Completed the Canby hunt on 4 July, and the Mt. Hood Territory one yesterday. The coins are beautiful! It's also a great way to see Oregon. Anyone who can should check it out.
  13. This thread is about caches NOT FOUND, but if it was about the oldest caches found - I have found GC12 which was placed by Jerry Connelly 5-12-00. I have also found GC16 6-4-00, and the Unoriginal Stash cache which is GC92 10-22-00. I have also found 7 caches that were placed in 2001. Most of all these caches are still active and can be found in beautiful Oregon, where geocaching began. GC12 and GC16 are both in forests, so they are a real adventure as the trees play havoc with the gps (yes I know I should upgrade). The wonderful part of caching is the people you get to go on these adventures with, and the great big outdoors to go explore! Just to clarify: "yet to be found" means the same as "not found".
  14. Does anyone know the oldest yet to be found in Oregon or Southern Washington?
  15. THANK YOU ALL!!!! Everyone's advice was most helpful. I think I now have it figured out.
  16. Thank you!!! All the information was very helpful. I now have another problem-I'm sure it is something I am doing wrong... I'm trying to build a PQ and the results keep coming back with no results. Any thoughts as to what I might be doing wrong?
  17. I bought a cheap PDA from ebay-PalmPilot 105 (I think the first generation of Palm). After a lot of frustration and trying things I finally got caches to load on the PDA. Here's my problem: only the cache name and coords came through. No log info, no hints, etc. (even when I use the drop down menu and select hints). The other thing is I have the list of cache names but when I hit the waypoint button it keeps the names up, no waypoints. I am using cachemate and GSAK. Any advice as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks!!
