  1. This may be elementary math, (But I did do well in math) so here it goes. I am wanting to go out and find a benchmark today. the coordinates are N 41 37.58 W 91 11.405(NAD 83) My problem is on my Mag 330 to enter the .58 there is three decimal point instead of two i.e .058 I can not get rid of the third decimal point. Am I entering it right by putting the (0) in front of the 58 ( i.e. .058) is this the same coordinates as .58. if not how do I enter it or move my decimal point? "I've heard there is no such thing as a ignorant question, only ignorant people who wont ask questions which in turn keep them ignorant."
  2. Thanks for your help on the forum. We learned how to use our Magellan 330 because of your advice. We went out tonight with our children. Found first cache!!! It was great fun, great walk, and we all loved it. WE'RE HOOKED ON CACHING!!! No Longer Frustrated.
  3. I'm a newbee.. but I purchased a New Megellan MAP330 for $142.00 on Ebay. Ebay is a good way to buy IF you know how to find the good deals and a seller with LOTS of GOOD feedbacks. I have seen new GPS's go for $80.00 to $140.00. I would not recomm end this to someone who is scared of Ebay. But its a great place to shop!!!
  4. Well got my GPS today in the mail and having a hard time to figure out how to download cashe locations. My magellan book is the worst in trying to explain to a newbee... Where Do I start? I read the FAQ section and getting started, but there doesnt seem to be a getting started for the just started.... The family that got us interested in cashing is out of town for about 2 weeks so we have no help to get us up and running. Is there somewhere else to start to learn. Frustrated and wanting to get out of the house.
