  1. What, you're not going to give us the seven words you can never say on a Geocaching forum?
  2. Cacher A hides a cache. Cacher B goes out to find it. Cachers A then hides another one to make cacher B go back out there and do the hike all over again. But what cacher A didn't know was cacher B hid two more when he was out there and didn't activate them until cacher A got back home. Cacher C waits a few days and goes out and finds all the new caches and also hides a few to get in on the fun and it starts all over again. And so on, and so on...
  3. I would keep it unofficial. To make it official would bring down the wrath of the reviewers and over saturating an area with caches. Just keep hiding them for us a few at a time and remember - shhhh. Besides, how do you make it "official"? Declare war on Terracaching? Right now I think it's too darn hot for a cache war in east county. Have you been up there at all? I think we will keep it unofficial but i look at the MTRP Cache war and that was a success so i was thinking about something like that but whatever we will keep up hiding them up. I love the hike and we still have plenty to find which mean more to hide near finds. I'm just messin' with you. I'm not sure if I've been there or not, but if I haven't, I'm sure I soon will be. How are those trails for mountain biking?
  4. And there lies the problem. I'm running Firefox on a PC and no problems.

  6. Why would you want to? What is it you're trying to do? Are you going on a trip? If that's the case, check out the "caches along a route" tool. It works great.
  7. Congratulations, now onward and upward to 10000 finds. Should take you guys a few more days. Congrats. Wow, that's incredible. I think you'll need to get a permit to have that many dancing men in one place.
  8. Heh! The pinko commie is Lithuanian! Darn! Ya beat me to it... Oh, they all look alike any way.
  9. Hiding behind a duck does not support this premise. On the other hand, he/she did offer to fix a disabled cache for a cacher. If we ask, maybe he/she will fix our caches as well. I got several notices on some of my caches up here as well... I've got several that are way past time to do something about...I just don't like the idea of a sock-puppet posting all those notes... Maybe they have found all the caches in this area already...so they are trying to get more new hides for them to find. The thing is if that commie pinko weren't so dang lazy he'd probably have already cleaned up the whole area, so just blame the Reviewers... That's because commie's are all government workers; there's no incentive to do any extra work.

  11. I'm wondering exactly how this will be done: "I will have to check on Dangling Balls." I totally understand the purpose. Maybe if the logs didn't seem so blunt they wouldn't be taken the wrong way; like I did. I felt a little like I was being picked on. ...as long as you're a good duck and not an evil duck...
  12. The one I got dinged on was in the burn area also. They reopened Cleveland National Forest again and I was riding out there a couple weekends ago checking on my MTB caches. Every one of them was gone or burnt to a crisp. One was even shot! I was also planning to check the particular cache in question but the road was still closed for repairs so I passed it by. A lot of the area around Ramona looks like the fire just happened and it's going to take quite some time to recover. It also makes for some long hot rides with no shade. As I said, the entire MTB series is gone and I have no plans right now to replace any of them because in many places the trail is washed out and impassable. The damage by this fire was complete and it may be hard to check on some of those caches for a while. After I got the SBA I drove out there today and it was surrounded by construction equipment and material. The cache itself was like the rest, burnt. My Southerland Dam cache was in the same general area as MTB and while I had planned on checking on it, the SBA notice just made me check it sooner rather then later. I know, 8 months is already more later then sooner. So no big deal really, this person just made me do something I should have done anyway.
  13. Am I being hypnotized? You will send all of your savings to Snake & Rooster . . . You will send all of your savings to Snake & Rooster . . . Repeat after me.... OH WATA GOO SIAM OH WATA GOO SIAM OH WATA GOO SIAM I don't think so! I fell for that one when I was 9...never again! It was in my cub scout group and they had us bowing to a trash can.
  14. Yep! http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/3a6bdd...2b1dd92a49d.jpg From this log: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...bf-72b1dd92a49d Thanks, the picture turned out pretty good. The GW6 page has so many pictures its hard to find the one you want. San Diego actually had a bigger contingent then what's represented in this picture, we just couldn't all get together at the same time. I saw another group shot somewhere of the SoCal Geocachers that included some of the other San Diego Geocachers. Here's the other picture. http://bgactor2005.googlepages.com/100_345...-full;init:.jpg Boy.. I did not see most of you there.. ?? TA I know why you don't see me in that picture ... I'm in stealth mode . http://bgactor2005.googlepages.com/100_346...-full;init:.jpg I think I see a boysnbarrie in this one ...... Awww MAN! Now ya had to go and burst my bubble, didn't cha? Shoot, I thot I was stealth, but yer right ... there I am in all my fruityness. Um ... is that pic a lil' blurry? or should I go put those doggone reading glasses on . It's blurry because Geocachers can't set still that long.
  15. That first one looks like one of those nasty disgusting tomato worms. YUK!

  17. Does anyone have a picture of the San Diego cachers we took on the caboose at GW6?
  18. So we can add "Mr. Ambassador” to your list of titles? Good job Mr. Ambassador!
  19. Don't forget your flashlight....all night caching may be on the agenda Oh yeah, I have at least two of those.
  20. It's getting close to crunch time, are you excited? Let's see... handheld GPS (2 of them) Car GPS batteries USB cable external power cable Palm laptop swag camera walkie talkies Oh, and a few clothes.
  21. Look at all those guys. It's getting crowded in here. Congratulations! Wow! That's BIG time! How many cachers in San Diego have 8K now? Congratulations J & J!!! Check out the San Diego Top 40 travel bug for some numbers.
  22. Look at all those guys. It's getting crowded in here. Congratulations!
  23. Your best bet if you're having trouble getting started is to contact a local cacher to show you the ropes. Most cachers are great people and many will go out of their way to help a friend (or a stranger)! Google a local group or association of geocachers. Get on their web page and join their forums. If you post there like you have here, you'll likely have multiple volunteers to cache with you. Check out the San Diego Cache Events thread. That's a great place to join in on a casual cache outing or start one of your own. The amount of people in the groups are usually between a couple and a few more then that. Don't hold me to those numbers though . You'll also get a good mix of newbies and oldies (did I say that?).
