I hope so.

Hey! I recognize that look! My daughter has that same look.

Here's a puzzle for you: Mom is gone. The football game is on with your team behind by 6 driving with 1:22 left. The baby starts crying. You ponder whether the baby is crying because: a) he is hungry; b- he wants to be held; c) he is over-tired; d) he has a big smelly surprise for you. Then phone rings and at the same time someone starts knocking at the front door. You look down your laptop and notice that a brand new FTF has popped up only a few blocks from your house! What do you do? Tivo, babysitter, answering machine, barking dog, GPS

I would but I am in the middle of installing some new baseboards in my house. I haven't been Johnny Carpenter for awhile but it's actually kind of fun. Anyhow have fun and I'll have to google for that joke.... I'm game. I need to get a new pair of boots, but before I do now would be a good time for this cache. Maybe we'll find an old locker down there too. Where do you want to meet? I need to get the three caches down the trail too. Pat: Drop the hammer and put your hands in the air. Now step away from the hammer and go grab yor GPS.

THE STEELE BRIDGE OFF OF 94 6 AM I'm still debating if I want to get up at 4:30AM to try to get down there by 6AM....You guys are killing me... We are also thinking about renting a boat at Lake Hodges tomorrow to get Rubi's Regatta and the new Mont St. Michel. Richard said he may be game. I think the boat will hold 3-4. We can rent it from noon until dark for $25. It is $5 to drop a kayak but it will be ~4 miles of rowing if you do that. I'm not sure how many boats they have so bringing kayaks is a good backup plan. Anyhow, this plan let's you stay up late and still go caching the next day! Anyone game? Shoot.. I left my kayak at my other house. I might be game if I can learn French and figure out the puzzle.

Vraiment pierre angulaire 4, ce n'est pas une saucisse que c'est poulet sauvage ! Ils ont dehors le gettin d'amusement la cachette et je m'assieds ici à la maison. ~Jess Ok, when I translated this, and then ran it back through to see the English re-translation, it didn't come out the way I had intended. However, I was laughing so hard when I read it...I decided to leave it as it was. Vous des garçons êtes trop drôle ~Jess What happened to the San Diego Thread? I looked at this one and figure I must have checked the thread for France instead. I'm afraid to try this puzzle. I don't like it when apples do that.

I heard that people that log puzzles and haven't solved them will now be tarred and feathered. Then they will be released into the wild, photographed and later have their photos posted on Gecko Dad's Critter thread. No tar for me; I solved one. It was the easiest one of course. Now on to the rest of them...

....or we could just bring you and some binoculars!!! I am bringing a bathing suit and a towel! Y-all gonna die! Nobody told me that there'd be sharks down there!!! Look what I got in the mail today! Hopefully you'll be bringing that around tomorrow to share with everyone??? I've been looking in the mail since it's been getting close to Aug. 1 but no luck for me I noticed today that people started having the icons show up on their profiles. BTW, did Jeep distribute the White and Yellow jeeps the same way? I noticed that there are a lot of Yellow Jeep TBs that have their status as "unknown" - does that mean they never made it out to the public or are lost? I just got my Green Jeep TB in the mail today too! I'll be placing it in a cache on Sunday. Still trying to decide exactly where to put it. Somewhere good though. Somewhere in North County would be nice! I want to go too but I haven't solved any puzzles in that area. After the latest controversy about non-solvers finding puzzles, I'm going to try and crash my way through some of them tonight. If you hear screaming, that will be me.

We flew around this fire coming into San Diego today and could see the flames. As far as I could tell it looked like it was burning away from any homes. By the way... it was cooler in Dallas yesterday then it was here, go figure.

I won't even ask.....
-
I bet you guys will be planning something really good for this weekend and I won't be able to go. I'll be in Dallas where it will be 152 degrees and 100% humidity. We will be pulling all-nighters to move our data center but I will try to get at least one cache while I'm there so I can add another state to my map.

This doesn't bother me at all. I got into this game for the fun so it doesn't bother me how other people play it. I know some people that never log a find and I have heard of others that pad their numbers because they think it's some kind of competition. Oh well, to each his own. There have been times when I have worked on a puzzle and not finished it or had not worked on it at all and logged it while out caching with friends. There have been times when I had done the puzzle and others had not, it didn't bother me that they logged it. I don't think it's about the numbers because one cache won't make or break you, it's just that you're there so you log it. I haven't yet hidden any puzzle caches, but if I had I wouldn't care if someone tagged along for the find as long as they had fun with it.

Sign me up! I'm thinking Mission Bay. -Cool in the summer -Campland by the Bay -Lots of Hotels close by -Lots of open space for a picnic Just ideas. D! Count me in! I think San Diego would be a great place for the event. We have the desert for the daring, mountains for the adventurous, the coast for the lowlanders and puzzle valley for the sickos.

But are you willing to wear a bag hat? (see link) Heck! I'd wear two to get to go to Duke's for their mud pie, Moose's for their fish tacos and see a sunset from the Shorebird!!! If you can fit into the ammo can, I'll think about it (and yes you have to wear the hat) An ammo can on an airplane...that should go over well. I just hope the bomb squad doesn't blow it up with Habu inside it.

I thought I'd share a few pictures from the El Cap hike Friday/Saturday...and yes, if you were wondering, I'm ok and ready for the next adventure.
-
Just to bring it back to this page...Is this still the plan?
-
Congrats to The Cache Magnet for reaching 200 while bike riding with dad in Rancho Penasquitos today.
-
You just have to be near the coast! There are plenty of caches a couple of miles inland and it is still a lot cooler there. Nobody goes to those places! Is that like "No one goes to Coney Island anymore. It's too crowded." Don't Forget the Event Sunday Edit to add appropriate quote for my "witty" remark . . . and to add a link to the Event Sunday afternoon. I was planning on bike riding tomorrow morning unless, of course, you guys have have any better ideas for me As for this event...where have I been? I didn't event know about it until I saw the link here.

....and look for the big hole in the floor! If you want lots more, go to Engrish.com This site is too funny! This was one of my favorites.

You're right on the ha-mool, with the emphasis on the mool. Kumeyaay is Ku'-my-yay...or close to that.
-
I'm game, although not this coming weekend. Birthday, Fathers Day...you know how it is.
-
We're hiking up Iron Mountain tomorrow morning if anyone is interested in joining us. I know there were just a couple of goups that just did this but I wasn't able to go. If you want the company we'll be at the trailhead at 8:15ish.

I use Palm Desktop and MCE all the time but... ...I use an old version of Palm Desktop/Hotsync (v4.0.1). Since this is the suggested solution to the aforementioned incompatibility, that may be why it works for me... (It should also be noted that I'm using USB and not an old fashioned serial port.) Software...can't live with it. Pass the beer nuts. I tried loading the 4.0.1 and I still can't get it to work. This PDA has a serial port. Oh well......back to paper......Thanks for all the help. r/ jodi Click on the Hotsync icon in the system tray and make sure Local Serial is checked and not USB. If that doesn't work click on the icon then setup then select the Local tab. Make sure the correct serial port is selected.
