Did someone say a mountain bike ride? I was just there last Saturday, but of course Gratefuldad was there too hiding new caches. I may go with you....depending on what you mean by "early-ish"; remember I'm coming from Ramona. What time you you get there Jerry? John's the real early bird not me... 8 to 8:30 That's perfect....we'll meet at the Steele Bridgfe at 8:00 and by 8:30 we should be at the parking lot at Honey Springs Road. PS..Did I tell you my bike is Blue ???I hope these bikes have engines on them. They do! These bikes will be powered by either a 1 MP or a 1 WP engine! You're right Pat...it was 1WP and 1MP...but I would have paid big bucks for even 1/2 more WP. I am so out of shape!! New bike pushes up hill just as hard as old bike She did great. She even got her brand new bike a little muddy. Woo Hoo!

OUCH! So when do you want to have a Bon Voyage event? Must have a party for the CDR , Fallon isn't that far where he can't at least come home once a month. Is he going to be with a deployable squadron, Just think of the different countrys he can Cache in. You'll have to get a world map for your profile page. You're correct..he'll come home whenever he can. I'll go visit when the snow ain't flyin'. No deploying...he's there just to keep those black boxes fixed so the Top Gun guys can keep flying! No Bon Voyage required...you'll be seeing him at every great event..especially the desert ones. Ah man! He just started getting my name right too.

The weather is perfect for a Ramona run. I would join you too but I'm being recruited for some Christmas shopping. If you guys happen to do the MTB series, would you mind picking up the TB I dropped in the cattle guard cache? It's been stuck there for a few weeks. Have fun.

I was pretty impressed if your dog could show us how to use a GPS.

What if there were, say 3 UDesignIt cards. The finders could still pick their choice of the next design, but it would be more like a nomination. They could then be voted on by all the finders to pick the next card. The maker of the card could act as tie-breaker. Another 2 cents. How much money do we have now?

"The shillelagh (pron. shi-LAY-lee) is the Irish word for oak club and is a Saint Patrick's Day symbol. Shillelagh was the name of an oak forest that was in County Wicklow before it was cut down as part of the timber industry. A club cut from an oak was known as a sprig of shillelagh. Shillelaghs were/are carried by men and are commonly used as walking sticks or hockey sticks for hurling. (In gaelic this game is called cluich-bhal.) In older times they were used as fighting weapons. Serious fighters had two sticks: one to ward off blows and another to deliver. Today shillelaghs are made of blackthorn, as oak is scarce. Souvenir ones have green ribbons and toy shillelaghs of green plastic are made for children on Saint Patrick's Day. (1, 12)" But I would rather have a claidheamh mòr! Here's my Shillelagh.

Indeed, anyone can adjust their socks... I can see it now - SD Rowdies Pals Card #1 - Trailgators in Kilt and White Knee Highh SD Rowdies Pals Card #2 - Rocket Man in Pink Socks etc. Hmm, that's not a bad idea, especially since you and Trailgators were the first unbunched-socks perp's. Why I oughta! It's a good thing it wasn't windy up there! I heard about what is (not) worn under those kilts!

Very cool coin. Christmas is coming so I ordered two.

She's not rolling her eyes. You must not have said that dreaded word..."Geocaching".

Here is another map. It does look like they did draw it with crayons... Any feedback from Ranger David yet? I got a response today from Ranger David to my question if Boden Canyon is part of the SDRP. It is but we're good for now. Here is the copy: It is but right now it is an unincorporated trail. If you do not have to leave the trail then I am fine with it. Just include the park rules. Thanks for taking the time to check with me. Happy hunting. WTETW GCZAM4 That's a good idea. Thanks, Dave! D! I actually saw him walking through Ramona...That's good enough for a discovery isn't it? I didn't get up close enough to see the TB tag though.

I'll see your map and raise you another map! The Helms Ranch and Habib areas both look like great areas for some new caches! Anyhow, it will be interesting to see what Ranger David says..... Both good maps...The problem is I haven't seen one yet with the exact location of the park boundary lines. They all look like someone drew them in with crayons. The first one is pretty good and shows the ownership but The City and County of San Diego are part of the SDRP Joint Powers Authority and those portions of Boden Canyon may be considered part of the park. The DFG is not a member of the JPA as far as I can tell on their website and I belive the northerly caches are within that boundary. Uh oh, all these acronyms are giving me an idea for a new puzzle cache...G rated of course

Hey, look at that! I'm at the top of the page. (sometimes it's the little things in life) I checked their map and I think we're ok. I'm looking into it further and may submit one just to be on the safe side. Thanks for pointing this out. I just sent an email to Ranger David at SDRP to see if I can find out how far north the park boundary goes up Boden Canyon. Pat, if you go let me know.
