  1. I'll have to bring my new mini flashlight! I got one too!!
  2. I'd like to hit the TC too. I haven't looked at the puzzle yet....What coords should we meet at? How about the same coordinates the where tonight's group is meeting? I've only been there once and that's where we met. I don't know if there is a better starting point then that. If anybody else wants to go maybe they will know of a better spot. Anyone??? Saturday eh? hmm.. this sounds good also. I need the new ones, but more the exercise! [ ] I might be able to join you, but it depends on the kids. TA That's why they invented daycare

  4. I have the same problem. But I would like to do that hike again. Maybe this weekend???? I checked with the boss and I can go Saturday. It will take me about an hour to get down there so how about meeting around 9:30ish? 9:30 sounds good. I have McGinty Mine ready to go too. Looks like there's a TC up there too that I haven't found yet.
  5. I'd like to go with you guys and try out my new hikin' stick but I have to work Friday. I probably shouldn't do this on a work night. After all, I need to make sure I get enough beauty sleep...Sheesh, if that's the case I'd better get to bed by 6:00. I have the same problem. But I would like to do that hike again. 7. Ha! Ha! Oh, sorry, I use Tecnu. That seems to have worked pretty well when I got Poison Oak. Tecnu works BEFORE (itch itch) you get it. I need (itch itch) to know (itch itch) what works the best AFTER you get it (itch itch)... I know it's too late now but you can use Tecnu as soon as the rash appears to remove the oils. I had to use it on my arm recently and the rash cleared pretty quickly. I think by now the belt sander option is looking pretty good.

  9. One of the dangers down there (and there are many) is the killer cactus. I got a chunk of it stuck to the back of my hand and Flagman had to pry it off with his pocket knife. It took weeks for the swelling to go down. Oh, and I had a great time. I'd go back any time.
  10. Congratulations to the Boondockers on reaching the big 1000 today. You may have met them at the campout. They’re Mrs. Toby’s Gang’s parents and they’re the ones that got us into Geocaching in the first place.
  11. I'm not "bored." I'm watching the Chargers stomp on some Cardinals right now! I thought BaseBall was over. They are playing the Arizona Cardinals not the St. Louis Cardinals! Why is Rivers out? They had a big lead so they pulled him. They want to keep him healthy for the playoffs. They are letting that big lead go. They are still up by 10. Turner is in for LT also. They can bring those guys back in later if they need to.... Baltimore ain't going to lose, so I hope the Chargers don't blow the lead. It's time to run the ball to chew up the clock! Home field advantage! Woo Hoo!!!!

  14. I have three days left on my Adventure Pass so I need to find Big Red soon! BTW, did I just hear you sneeze? I think you are too sick to go to work tomorrow! I wish I could but I'm already covering for someone on vacation. Besides, I'm doing The Forbidden Forest if that is still on for tomorrow night.
  15. I just found out that the Orosco shooting range is OPEN! Hiking in from the shooting range is a better way to go. Plus we could stop by the Big Red cache if we go that way. So let's meet at the main gate on Pamo Road at 9AM. Those that don't have Adventure passes can park down the road from the main gate on Pamo road. Then we can all drive up to Gate 3 to park/start the hike. There is a locked gate at Pamo Road so you need a code --> gate code is 0922 Hike is about 6.5 miles roundtrip from Gate 3: 922 I wish I could go with you guys. That Big Red cache has been pretty lonely.
  16. His dinghy is missing?! Who would do such a thing? I would go with you guys but I have to work. Bummer.
  17. Merry Christmas everybody!!! Merry Christmas and I hope everyone gets those new Geocaching toys they asked for. I'm getting one of those hiking poles you can stick in the ground and mount a camera to it. (I hope)
  18. Our shopping and preparing is all done so I'm hitting MTRP on my bike tomorrow morning if anyone wants to join me. I'm parking at the Mast Blvd. parking lot and I'd like to hit the trail by 8:30. I need to get the three new caches by CTYankee9, Farther Then The Farthest Star (somehow I missed that one before) and Jutht Whithtle Otay?(the bees were buzzzzzing last time I was there). I'm only planning about an 8 mile loop so it shouldn't take that long...even faster if the bees are chasing me. Join me if you can.
  19. You can count me in too (tentatively, weeknights are tough)
  20. Dropped a YMS #30 and a #30 misprint in Just a Little Further.
  21. I also thought there might be a way to the end of the Boden canyon from Bikedog's Bonnie and Clyde cache by following that trail north and hooking around to the west side of that canyon. All those trails look passable with a 4x4 if only there were no gates! When PW's cache first appeared, I was gonna try coming into it from Lake Wohlfold, but like you said that area is all gated off. When Toby's Gang, Duganrm and I placed the Highland Meadow cache we walked almost as far north as you could go on the northern Clevenger Canyon trail before hitting a barb wire fence. It is really cool up there! Anyhow, now there are a bunch of breadcrumb caches that lead to PWs cache from 78. So I might as well hike in from that way and hit all those. I assume that Bwana Bobs is where the San Pasqual Country Store is now located? The store is just down the road from where Bandy Canyon hits 78... I love local history. Hey Pat, the next time you want to go to Boden I want to go too.I'd like to see if we could find the location of the adobe stage stop and the jail. The last time I was here was in the dark..and IT WAS DARK.
  22. What are they going to do now? Have the CHP set up suction cup check points?
  23. That was cool! The story that was right before it was pretty interesting too.
  24. I got mine too and it is supposed to get to Xiongyue, China. At least yours has a cache that is only 204 miles away: Moon View Lucky me! Mine is supposed to go to Yogyakarta, Indonesia and I can't figure out how close that is to the nearest cache but I'm only going to move it a couple of miles and then the geocaching community will figure out how to get it there. The nearest cache to this one is 26 miles: Andong Cache It's still not found (hidden Aug 12, 2006) so you might ask around and see if any of the local FTF Hounds are interested in going for it. Mine has to go to Nymburk, Czech Republic. Luckily there's a cache near the center of town.
