  1. An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
  2. Good idea! In the meantime, I recommend Team KFWB and Team Extreme GPS caches, and anything cached by JRAV as good way to go. And if you are into virtual caches and want to learn a bit more about our area, Plantman has done a series of virtual caches.
  3. If you pick a Saturday I could take part. I work Sundays. Sounds like fun to me!
  4. Don't be frustrated...life is too short to fret about this. Just use the private thread thingy that they suggested and all will be well. For those of us not 'in the loop' about the private cache hunt it was a bit confusing anyway and I kind of felt like the kid left out of the fun.
  5. It took forever for my rebate to come. It must have been at least 5 or 6 months. Just when I was about to give up, it arrived that day. Maybe yours is 'in the mail'.
  6. I'm glad to see that there is something happening with regards to dialogue re geocaching in parks. We have alot of geocaching going on in our regional parks here in Victoria and there is damage being done to the natural areas due to location of caches and inappropriate behavior (ie, bushwacking, etc.) in these parks. If there is any background information that I could get on the history of the dialogue re geocaching in Ontario parks, I would be really appreciative, as we want to be sure that geocaching continues without causing harm to the parks we love to explore. dthiessen@crd.bc.ca
