  1. I am one of those "numbers people" lighteye speaks of, poor grammar and everything. I was definitely wrong to log his find. I notice no mention of the two DNF's of his caches I also logged that day. I also notice no mention of the fact that he has logged more caches at a faster pace than I eve did. When I went looking for this cache, there was a perfectly round depression where my ground zero was. I called someone who had found it and they said that's where it was. It was hot, I was tired, and made a very poor choice. As I felt bad about this, I went back through my logs and deleted all lighteye logs. Five or six, I believe, and asked him to delete any that I may have forgotten. I apologize to the Geo-community as a whole and assure you this is not a practice of mine. Thanks, Bruce
  2. I don't get all the fuss about micros. Do the reaearch and if it doesn't look appealing, don't go for it. As a very respected cacher in my area {Rayiam}always says " You don't have to find them all". Amen, brother.
  3. I like number two. I get these e-mails that someone's eighty year old grandmother couldn't do the cache or that it wan't wuitable for their 3month old. Ultimately it is the seekrs resposibility to reasearch a ;lttle and remember the sun will shine of you don't get every cache. GatorBruce
  4. I found one in a plastic Easter Egg. No bag for a single strip of paper. Also one filled with pepper and some other irritant. Burned my hands and face when I opened it.
  5. Can someone give me some websites for small paper logs, micros, match containers etc? The one I use is very limited. Thanks
  6. some sites for small logs and cover sheets for micros
  7. I continually get comments about placement of my caches. "Your cache is near a lake and I saw a gator in there once, You should remove it so small children don't get eaten". "Yourt cache is dangerous. I can't climb a tree". "I saw poison Ivy near your cache. You should warn people". Are these people nuts or do they just not have a mind of their own? I tell them, "You should never do a cache that you feel may put you or a loved one in danger". Then they really get mad. Is it me or the "new" cache mentality? Thanks for letting me vent. GatorBruce
  8. Can anyone give me soi,me sites to download blank cache logs? thanks
  9. I guess micros should go where a reg isn't possible? To each his own. I know people that just hunt micros and love it. I say just hunt the ones you like. I use to say "Never a virtual or a multi". Now I just do what ever I feel like at the time. This is a sport for all and the beauty is you can choose your opponent. GatorBruce
  10. I can't believe whaat's going on in the geocaching commujnity in regard to all these micro caches. How does anyone find time to cahce when they have 500 plus micros all over the place? And they log their own caches lol. I, personally, think a cache should take you to an interesting place you may never have been before. I'm sorry but I seem to see more and more caches placed with no consideration of the environment not to mention the property they may be put on. I'm thinking of electrical equipment, utility equipment in general. Many of these caches seem to be designed to destruct by themselves and then are simply archived when a select group of people have found them. Whew, glad to get that out. Bruce
