COINTEST: Chickahominy's Cointest - See post #81
SYOTT replied to Chickahominy's topic in Trackables
The latin name for chicken is Gallus Domesticus. Thanks for the cointest -
Although I'm not a part of the US Forces, but I've worked hand in hand with them. -Operation Apollo (ROTO 3) in the Arabian Gulf in 2003 -SNMG1 / Operation Active Endeavor 2006 (sailed for 24 hours onboard the USS Boone during this time) In Europe and the Mediterranean Veterans Day in the USA is the same as Remembrance Day in Canada... They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

We don't really have a Thanksgiving tradition... we're a young family and it's usually spent doing whatever we enjoy... this year it was doing a couple of caches and then visiting family... then we spent some time preparing our new place for moving in this week... For those people that are not with their families for this thanksgiving, we wish you all the best. For those brave troops on deployment with the military, no matter the location, we wish you all the best and know that your work is appreciated... stay safe and come home soon...

First off, I'm sorry for the loss of your grandmother... never easy having anyone pass away... My favorite memory of my grandmother is surprising her... I was in town for a night on my way back home from the Arabian Gulf in 2003... I arranged to spend the night there before shipping out back home to Halifax the next morning... little did my grandmother know was that my mother arranged to come out the same day (as she was sailing back with me)... All of us knew except for her... mom rang the doorbell and we get my grandmother to answer it... she just stared at her daughter in disbelief and didn't say a word... she just started to cry and then hug her... and call everyone that knew a few choice words for keeping this a secret... That's one of my favorite memories of my grandmother

Just curious as to why some events seem like they're "pre-approved" for the Mega Event status while others have to prove their 500+ attendance first... prime example is this weekends Geocoinfest (GC1JZ1X) in SLC, Utah which has only 228 signed up for it... What happens if the final numbers do not tally the 500+ required for the Mega status? Does the icon get "reduced" to a normal event? Not trying at all to ruffle feathers here... just curious

Just pick up a roll of mactac... either that or take it to a stationary store and get it laminated
-
ok.... add me to the list as well please
-
I'd love to help out as well... the only issue I can foresee is that as far as I know, GC.COM doesn't allow any new traveling caches... I'm suggesting getting a moderator that may know involved

All in all for Nova Scotia, we made out not that bad at all... just a wet and windy day... we've had much worse in terms of weather... we were all prepared and there was only a couple of incidents of people getting too close to the shoreline, but they were rescued and are fine... maybe a bit smarter for it as well

I'm guessing 90 km/h at 1400 tomorrow

Can't say I am...

I'm just starting the process of making a coin... there's no more info on it than what's being posted now... just getting opinions on the design so far... Being born and raised in Nova Scotia, I'm paying homage to my home and the sport we love to play... this coin hopefully will not be the standard disc, rather the whole design will be cut out instead be gentle please.....

You really shouldn't post the actual number on the forums... too much armchair discoveries can lead to this TB being suspended..Instead use it's TB reference number TBM1BX

Looks very nice so far... can't wait to see the finished product

The Boston Red Sox became the last Major League Baseball team to integrate, twelve years after Jackie Robinson had broken the color line. In the 8th inning of a game at Chicago, Pumpsie Green entered the lineup as a pinch runner, then played the 9th inning as a shortstop in a 2-1 win over the White Sox. Green was called up from the Minneapolis Millers club after Bobby Avila was traded to the Braves. Lights on for Safety
