  1. Been caching for quite some time and thought i was upgrading when I bought the new Dakota 20 from my old magellan. I cant seem to get my caches downloaded. Anyone have one that could advise? Please help before it gets to be a bookend. Thanks SineMora
  2. It seems like this is a fair topic, but one that should be discussed on a forum, not on personal cache pages. I think a friendly e-mail to the cache owner is appropriate and, if necessary, edits may be made. I haven't heard from anyone in our area that this is of huge concern, however, I've recently found a bookmark listing for this discussion placed on my cache page. I'll consider rewording the instructions, but anyone who knows how to log and move a bug knows that the "bug goals" trump the "cache goals." So, in the mean time, how do I remove a bookmark listing from "Criminal" that has been attached to my cache page?
  3. I have a laptop and just microsoft streets and tips and a laptop gps. Is there a way to see the coords on the map? If so how do I make it happen? If you have an answer that works I would like it. Thanks for any help. You can respond here or on Geocaching under sinemora
  4. Does anyone have any presentation or powerpoint about geocaching that could be used to introduce and teach a 7th grade science class?
  5. Is there a way to search geocaching.com for only 4/4 or higher type caches? Thanks for any help. -SineMora-
  6. Does anyone use a laptop when geocaching? If so what is the best/good program to use and how would I place the waypoints on the map on the computer and can I have my gps plugged in and following the map? Thanks SineMora

  8. If I have a known point E383691 and N4752911 and a direction of 84.8degrees and a distance of 8790meters-----The bearing is from due east and in grid north not magnetic. If I use the projection mode on my Magellan do I need to use math, or do I need to add or subtact declination to find the new coord's? This is in Idaho. Also if due east on a compass is 90 and I need to go south 84.8 degrees, shouldn't my new location be almost south at 178 degrees? If it is 178 do I need to change my declination for southern Idaho about 18 degrees plus or minus so either it would be about 196? 9. If I have a known point, then have a direction in degrees minus declination and a distance, how do I find the grid or new coord's? I think there is a formula but I can't recall it. Any help would help. -SineMora-
