  1. Palm Z22 + Cachemate + GSAK = I haven't printed out a cache page in months. I'm very happy with that combo.
  2. Charlie is thinking that your geocoin shows a great breed. His dad, Dark Star, sent an email with a trade offer.
  3. Dark Star and I are in the DFW area. If you still need or want someone to cache with, we'll be around. School is out for the holidays, so I'll even be available during the day.
  4. 1. I got to meet Darth Vader. 2. A stormtrooper called me a princess. 3. I relaxed, visited, snacked, shopped. 4. Waded in the lake....TX Diva does not like water....that was a biggie. 5. Took some photographs. 6. Met a lot of really nice folks while working registration. 7. Watched the usually shy Dark Star really open up and have fun. 8. Bought a TX State Parks Pass so I can come back and cache after the rattlesnakes go to sleep. 9. Unleashed my Pug to the geocaching world at the chili cookoff. 10. Received or purchased some really nice geocoins to take to New Zealand next summer.
  5. Okay, the groups from Colorado, Hawaii, and New Zealand can start putting their bids in! That's my wishlist.
  6. Hey now from Texas. We are looking for someone to do a gravestone rubbing of Pigpen's grave. In return, we will send a rubbing from TX..ie. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lee Harvey Oswald....OR we could burn you a Dead or Phish show on CDR. Please be kind and contact us if you can help! TX Diva and Dark Star
  7. Summer in Texas Poison Ivy, ants, and snakes Still....I must cache on. That sounds....pretty darned impressive....when read.....like....James T. Kirk. Here's my Grateful Dead/Phish inspired cache Haiku Summers are now spent Following the cache's trail Instead of jam bands. The Dead in Austin Playing at Willie's picnic Will I cache while there? I am quitting now I can not seem to stop this Please, make it stop now!
  8. I don't have any pet peeves, but I have a couple of dogs. Where would one purchase a peeve, and would they be good companions to canines?
  9. I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you visit TX again let me know and I can do a more thorough research.
  10. You didn't mention what type of things you wanted to visit in Dallas, but I'm assuming that since you like geocaching that you like the outdoors. You might want to visit Fair Park and walk around the grounds and the museums. If you like the music scene, Deep Ellum has several clubs and bars all within walking distance once you get there. If you don't like music and tattoos then definitely don't do Deep Ellum.
  11. I picked Diva because I was a music major in college, and because I tell my students that I'm the diva of the classroom. They sometimes call me Queen B. And that "B" stands for my last name!!! Hubby is Dark Star because he's a major DeadHead and all his nicknames have to be a Dead reference. He wanted PigPen, but it was taken.
  12. I'm 36. Hubby, Dark Star, is 36. My cutie snorthounds have yet to go since they are wimps, but someday you may see me hunting with a psycho Pug that's now 2 and a bonkers Boston Terrier that's 4. PS...Deadheads will appreciate the pug's name...Cosmic Charlie
  13. I'm glad to read about other "Anal Retentive" people that like to be organized. My "geocaching" backpack is always ready to go. My 3-ring binder has sections for my city, county, state, other, and found logs. I jot down what I've traded when I get back on the trail, to the car etc. so that I remember what to write in my log. I'm either really really really organized or crying in the corner. Also, I loved hearing that other scrapbookers are doing this! With no children, and my dogs getting tired of the flashes, my cache locales have become my newest "subjects."
