  1. ....someone that knows nothing about GPS and asks what you are doing and you say "trying to get a good signal so they (satellites) can track the plane."

Couldn't you imagine the look on that persons face before you can tell them the whole story? icon_eek.gif

    Question~

Is there a there a thread in the forums where the following have NOT posted: Mopar, Clayjar, Markwell, Web-Ling, etc.... (you know who you are).

The ones you pointed out are the ones that knows what’s going on! They have been here way longer then you or I have and that gives them the right to post when they want and how many times they want. They know what's going on in these forums and they are here to help the geocaching community out, if you notice they have helped many out, just one instance is by markwelling. If you don't know what that is then you don't need to post.

  3. The one I was on Nocturnal Reflections, the trail of reflectors was close to the end of the trail and after you came out of the woods, we just followed the instructions on the cache page and they took us right to our car. Plus we marked are coordinates where we parked the car just in case.

  4. ...I wonder if you'll be able to log that cache, Lysa? icon_biggrin.gif

...and as for the Burr Oak cache, I'm glad it is back where it belongs and not missing. Thanks for the update Team TJ!

  5. I'm sure there are a lot of people here that gave money for a GPS to give to Lysa and they would like to know any progress!!!! In fact I think she should already have it in her hands!

This is just my thought I could be wrong.

Anyone else feel the same way? icon_confused.gif

  6. 1. How did you find out/start geocaching?

A friend heard about it and so he bought a GPS and told me about it .

    2. Who/what got you started geocaching?

I found a Meridian Gold at a return store still in it's package. It worked great.

    3. How often you do it?

As often as I can, at least 2-3 times a week.

    4. How long have you been doing it?

  7. So everyone needs to LOOK at other threads that have been posted that day at least to see if someone else has beat them to the "punch".

Like the geoslave on cnn.com I think there was 5-6 different posts just for that one and they all started around the same time.

Just think how much time and space would be saved if we all would just read before posting a new thread or read a whole thread before posting, like this one Ammo Boxes Should Be Banned but I wouldn't have had the best laugh in a long time if they would have read it first. icon_biggrin.gif

  8. The problem is people do not read the entire thread before they post, if they did they would know it was a J O K E !

JOKE-(1) anything said or done to arouse laughter, as a funny anecdote (2) a thing done or said merely for fun

People Please read the entire threads before posting, this has been said many of times already, can you say "redundant"

  9. So Mopar what you're saying is that when the stewardess and the captain says to "please turn off ALL electronic devices until we say it is SAFE to do so" it is for everyone’s safety and one that would leave any electronic device on is:

    (1) Not listening to very important safety rules.

    (2) Doesn't think that it would happen to them, until it's too late.

    (3) Endangering 100's of other peoples lives not only their own.

    (4) Not to high in the IQ department.

Thanks for pointing that out to me!

I will make sure I turn OFF ALL electronic devices when told to do so.

  10. The way I take it is that he is wanting to maybe post something rude or offensive to either the forums or on someone’s cache page and is wondering that if he did would geocaching.com be able to track it back to his computer at home by the IP address. He possibly could already be a cacher and someone made him mad in here and wants to get back at them. Therefore he registered a new username.

Just my ways of thinking, but you never know.
