not sure what i am doing wrong but i noticed today that my new gps doesnt have a major highway listed on it (basemap) (i have the new Etrex Venture HC) but the map software that came with it for the pc has the missing highway listed on it.....so after watching the online tutorial from garmin on how to add maps to the gps i tried it and it doesnt work!!!! i try to highlight a area of the map to and nothing happens what am i not doing right???

when i sign the log book do i sign my name or my Groundspeak user name??? in which if that is the case when i found this site i signed up with a single user name now that i have a GPS unit my 2 girls want to be involved and they have a different "team name" they would like to use so can i change my user name or just need to make a new account?

just got my first gps unit today(Etrex Venture HC) my first question is every time i turrn on the unit the screen is real dark and i have to adjust the light on it...is this normal or is there somewhere i can make a adjustment so the light will stay constant?????.....2nd question is i have read clues to a few caches and out of 5 or so there has been at leat 3 i believe that mentioned no nighttime cachers if the cach is in a sacoluded place where there is no one is around why is this a problem??? thanks in advance for the replies !!cant wait to find #1
