  1. Well we do not qualify, but wanted to introduce ourselves to all the new friends we have yet to meet. T"n"T consists of Tracy and Tank or Tank and Tracy,, depending on who you're talking to,, We have been caching for just over a year and after I finish up the logs we will have found just over 1000 caches and have as many coins. Our collection has stopped growing the last few months due to a sad event. We hope to be able to continue with these great hobbies very soon. We will add a few coins to the pot for more winners. Sending e-mail now. Mufflon question: What makes a metal type more "valuable" than another? Coins often comes in limited numbers and one metal is usually more limited than the others but to me it seems totally random which is choosen as the limited one. Sometimes one that goes very well with the coin and sometimes not. Yes, I think we've all seen that. It is a personal question that people who've minted will have to jump in and answer, but what I suspect happens is that in some instances people choose the metal they like the best to be the general release of a particular coin, and other times people choose the metal they like best to be their personal edition, or Limited Edition. I just got around to reading through these. We could have told them to run,,,,,,,, As to why we make different metals the limited ones. I think it is like keewee said, all a matter of choice. Tank has always picked the one he liked the most as a standard to allow the most of them made and to be seen. Now that it is too late to run,,,,,, Welcome to our family!!!!!
  2. You folks are truely awesome!!!!! This week has had some highs and lows. I had a bad day yesterday and felt very weak. Faith crashed and I needed a boost. We walked to the Church down the road to take Tank out of the house, they had a special music group there to sing.... Well, he became more alert during the music and I had started to regain a more possitive outlook..... Came home and saw that you folks again came through on yet another auction of the Groundspeak coins that were donated. We cannot thank you all enough for the time you have given us to spend with Tank as well as knowing we can provide the meds he needs that are getting very expensive that even his new government Medicaid is not covering. They will cover 5 meds a month and even reduced down, he is still on 10 different ones. The doses are dropping and we hope to get more of them taken away shortly. Thank you again.

    Sad Day

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Anyone in a trade will be patient I am sure. We have a great family in this community, and a huge and loving God that still hears our prayers. Know you are in his hands in this difficult time.
  4. I can't seem to find the topics to update so this is a general update from us. All orders from us have been shipped and I am in postion to keep caught up now. Tank condition is improving, slowly but better. He is still unconsious most of the time but generally mediclly stable. He is showing us signs of alertness. His eyes are both now responding to light by dialating and contrating. He is starting to move more but we are still not sure how much he is doing on purpose. Thank you all for the support with bills, prayers and candles. Our family cannot thank everyone enough. This should also serve as a "I am Sorry" for all delays to friends and customers. We are happy to feel that we can now give you great folks the service that we here expect from ourselves. We have a few great coins that should be ready in the next month or so to open up. Not sure how badly the mint price jumps are going to effect the overall costs yet, as well as mail rates. We will contine to produce the same quality that you have come to expect and hope that the costs are still fair. 5th and 6th Quilt coins - I am working on these now, they will have a much much faster turn time. As these are coins I am working on. Tank's condition will not effect their designs. Blue Dragon - maybe the last color Dragon of the series due to designers condition- I will have help in the final coin in set and Tank had finished the Blue before illness. Ultimate Did Not Find - This one is the third in the Ultimate series and was also designed prior to illness- it is going to be later than the scheduled Easter release. like duh,,,,,,, But should still send a beautiful message Celtic FTF - We did this one together and is the last coin he helped design before stroke in Dec. The samples as I said before, are awesome. It is a stained glass look around a beautiful designed celtic knot with knotted ring. Will get photos posted soon. Poker coins - The icon for the first series should be up soon. Working on getting it from one of you great folks. As that was one of the things Tank was working on. I am going to organize a 2nd run of these to come here in the next month or so. They will be done in Black Nickel( Tank wanted his that way, I will be doing ones with his name) and another metal choice. Other family members conditions - Justin - Qiuck_at_em - Has just earned his God and Me emblem and his Webelos rank for Cub Scouts and is looking forward to his last summer before Boy Scouts. Hallie- the_beast1 - Has just finished wrestling season by coming in 2nd at State, he is now wrestling at the Heavy Weight level and going to camp for High School Team this summer. He has also broken the county shot put record for middle school this year. He has decided that he wants to become an EMT/first responder after learning to be a great help with Tank. Nell- Tank's mom - waddles_alot - is doing better her broken arm is almost healed and the pins are holding well. Me - Tracy - only half of T"n"T - the tumor they removed is not growing and the doctors think that it will not be a continued concern. I continue to be humbled by the love and kindness shown by this community and hope to be in a postion to give more back in the future. God bless you all. Tracy and Tank
  5. We gotthe same e-mail about prices going up. The FTF coins I had a huge quote on already are going to be so high I am not sure if they will get made. The Samples are awesome but at almost $9 our total cost not sure. The die fees have already been bad. Glad those are paid for before the rate went up. And yes mail is going up again..... Run and get the forever stamps now. Too bad it wont work for shipping fees.
  6. Quick update. Tank is still mostly unconsious: however,,,,,,,, we are seeing more alertness and some response to commands. He is opening both eyes and will look at us when talked to sometimes. He is now controling his blood pressure, body temp, heart rate, and breathing with little or no medical support. He is able to move/ lift his hands and legs and has made a few short trips out of the house in his wheelchair and seems to like being outside. We had a trip to the doctor's office,,,, he did like like being there, but as soon as we left he calmed right back down. It turns out that the lump they removed from me is not something to worry over, his mom is doing well and may get the cast off her arm in another few weeks if pins look good. I have gotten all our orders sent and caught up and will be placing a few coins up on E-bay ourselves here in the next week or two also. You folks have been awesome and have made a huge difference in me being able to stay home with Tank and not stress over the pile of bills not yet covered by his insurance. You don't realilize how much the very basics of wipes, q-tips, over the counter meds, and other meds not covered by government insurance can add up to very quickly till it means what can you wait for and what is needed now. I cannot communicate how humbled we are by your kindness. We will let you all know what happens around here soon. Again thanks for all the candles, prayers, and help.] Tracy, Tank, Justin and Hallie

  8. Thanks forthe great ideas, I think I like either the TnT or the Geocaching one. Will get ahold of the poster and try and get this going for those of you that have the poker coins, sorry for the delays.
  9. Thanks for the support. I am still waiting on pathology to return test results on the lump they removed. Crossing fingers. Tank's mom is doing well after having emergancy surgury on her arm after a fall the day I had surgury. They had to place two pins in it to put a compound facture back together. After all the bad news of the rest of us falling apart,,,,, Good news is that Tank is doing very well at home. He is more alert, his eyes are responding and pupils are contracting now. He has periods of more awakeness and is doing well with his treatments. Still waking for the big day when he fully wakes up. I feel the prayers working in many ways here. Thanks again for them all.
  10. I wish we could help, as everyone has been wonderful to us here lately. Good luck and sending blessings that way. This community has some of the most thoughtful and kind people in it that I have ever met. And we hope to be able to return the favors someday.

  12. The icon is for the poker coin project we did first run of back a few months. The thread can be found at poker party page the pictures of coins are on second page. Something that would resemble the coin or a stack of them is kinda what we had talked about. Thanks.
  13. I have been crazed with everything going on here and just realized we don't have an icon turned in for the poker party coins. Looking for someone to help in this issue. Need both sizes of icon. This is normally done by Tank and I cannot seem to find his file for this. Thanks.
  14. A quick update for all today. Will copy to other post threads also. We have Tank home and he is actually doing much better since he has came home. His temp we have been fighting since Dec. has gone almost to normal, and he has not even needed his Blood pressure meds for the week now. We are seeing small step towards responses coming faster and hope that he is just happy to be home. We are still having trouble with Tennessee's lack of in home help. If we would send him to a nursing center and leave him, they cover just about everything. Here it is hard to get even the basics of help. I would like to thank eveyone for all the blessings, donations, and support that has been giving to our family. You do not know how much that has helped in a very difficult time here. Some sad news to report as well, It seems that I will need to ask for prayers for me as well. I will be going for surgery on Monday morning to remove a tumor from under one arm. Should be fairly simple process, not sure on what the follow up will be. Will keep updates posted. Thanks again for everything. Tracy , Tank, Justin and Hallie

  16. Thanks again for everything. It is uplifting to know so many people care when times are this bad. Things are pretty much the same here. Going back to hospital in a min. Long days and long nights, but Tank is holding his own and we are praying that the longer he is sleeping the more healed he will be when he wakes. Tracy , Tank, Justin, and Hallie
  17. I am sorry to anyone who is still waiting on coins/orders. I think I have everything caught up now except the 3rd and 4th quilt coins. Those are at mint now. We had a plating problem on some and now we are into their New Year Holiday time. Inless they got them shipped today they will not go out to me till the 12th of Feb. when they return to work. "I want 2 weeks off for new years" Not much I can do about those at this point. If anyone one needs refund on those due to delays please send me an e-mail at customer_service@tntgeocoins.com Posting copy from other thread about Tank's condition and what is going on here. Tank is doing ok right now, we are having huge issues with transfers right now. There are no nursing centers that have all the services he needs that have rooms that will accept him without insurance yet. The help you all have given is wonderful and will help with some of the expenses if we can find a home to bring him to. The issues is that most nursing centers at that level run close to $6000 a month for room and braod only. Trying to see if we can bring him home to a house.... Looking for a place that would be work for that close to our other home here with the rest of the family. This will be a huge huge undertaking on my part and is being very time consuming now. Hope to let everyone know what's up soon. Thanks for everything and prayers of healing and transition move or great. Tracy, Tank, Justin, Hallie

  19. Copying update from other thread also. Sorry for anyone who was caught in the middle of our "issues" here. Things are stable but still very difficult. I am getting things back together here some. But yes we have 6 kids, our youngest 2 boys Justin(Quick_at_em,10) and Hallie(thebeast1, 14) are still at home. Girls are all grown up and moved out. This has been so hard and unexpected, At only 40 years old this is not something we would have even thought about happening. Please continue to pray for our strengh and healing for Tank. And always remember to tell those you love how much they mean, that is one of the good things about all this,,,, Both Justin and I had a great time with Tank the night of the stroke and we know he knows how much he is loved and missed while he sleeps. Copy from other update. Thanks again for everyones prayers and thoughts. We are trying to stay strong and have up and down days. Tank is holding his own medically, even doing better than we were told to expect. He has not yet woken up and we are highly prayer for some small signs. We are in process of finding a nursinghome/ re-hab that will take us without any current insurance. We are waiting on SSI to process madicaid for him. Government moves slow. I cannot express how grateful our family is for all the wonderful cachers out there. Your support means more than you know. Back to hospital for me now. Tracy
  20. A quick update for you folks before heading back to hospital. Thanks again for everyones prayers and thoughts. We are trying to stay strong and have up and down days. 22. Thank you all. This time has not been very nice to us here lately. But the support of those in the community has been incredable. Prayers are still the most needed on list but I am sure that the finances will catch up soon enough. You all have been wonderful and I will try and keep everyone up to date as time goes on. Tank is having some issues tonight with temp control. But breathing tests have been good. A lot of ups and downs to deal with. Thanks for good thoughts, prayers and respones to auctions and such. Tracy, Justin, Hallie and Tank too.
  23. Hello everyone, Home for a few for the first time in about a week. Tank has not woke up yet, but medically is about the same. Waiting for time to show us something. Thanks for all the help in prayers, good will, and with these auctions. Each day is a test of patience and faith here. We have had some ups and downs this week. He has developed some blood clots in his left arm and they just have to wait and see if they disovle or break loose, hping if they break loose they go somewhere not vital. They have placed the trach in, a direct stomach feed line, and a filter to help with any clots in his lower body. All went well. He was off vent. for 5 hours yesterday before his Oxygen levels dropped and was placed back on it. Was told that, that amount of time off for first run was a good sign that we should be able to get him off of it soon. Will keep everyone up to date as much as possible. I am not home or at a computer very often as of now. Will be getting order together when I stop by the house Sunday to send off. Thanks for patience. Thanks, Tracy, Justin, And Hallie Tank too
