  1. I have extra Alabama, Washington state, and West Tennessee coins to trade. They are all new and unactivated. I would be interested to trade for anything not listed below. Alabama Washington West Tennessee Michigan Oregon California Kentucky Conejo Cachers Green Man The Joy of Geocaching Canada
  2. I got my coins today! The look really great! You did a wonderful job! Thanks, Primofan!
  3. Thanks! Glad you enjoyed them! I love cemetery caches. I find them very interesting especially those placed in or around the older cemeteries. They are very popular in AL, GA, and TN. I've searched for a lot of cemetery caches and have yet to run across one that was disrespectful in any way.
  4. I've got a SporTrak Map. I also got mine from Sams with the case and software. It's gotten me to over a thousand caches and I hope will hold out for a thousand more.
  5. Woohoo!!! I was very happy to find that the UPS man had visited today and left me coins! I'm also very lucky. They had been treated pretty rough on the trip to Alabama. The package was open on one end and the coins fell out when I picked up the package. To my surprise all was well! All coins were there and in great condition! These coins are great! Excellent job!
  6. I just sent $ too for 5 coins and shipping! Thanks, hammerjane
  7. I just got back from Monterey. It was my first time out there and I loved it! Very beautiful area! I stayed pretty busy my few days in CA, so I didn' t do a lot of caching. I wish I had had more time for the longer hikes, which are my favorite. There's my excuse to return. Anyway, thanks for all the info.
  8. This is my setup. My Zire71 together with GSAK and Cachemate saves me a lot of time and paper.
  9. Thanks for the info. I like a variety of caches. Unfortunately, I probably won't have time for the day hikes. I'm mostly interested in some short hikes highlighting great views and unusual/interesting places. I've come to enjoy a few urban micros here and there too.
  10. Does that mean in use by the living, or those dearly departed? El Diablo Meaning no one's being buried there anymore and there is no caretaker...it's been abandoned by all but who are buried there. No longer in use isn't quite the correct phrase I guess.
  11. I'll keep my eyes open, but the race to FTF around there's pretty tough. Yeah, I used to think that I wanted to be cremated, but then I started geocaching. Now I'm going to be buried in a nice cemetery with marker suitable for hiding a cache. I think I'll put it in my will.
  12. If you're from the Northwest GA or Northeast AL area, your approver will probably the same as mine was, eric88l-r.
  13. I've hidden several cemetery caches. I was told by my local approver that if the cemetery is no longer in use - no permission is required. If it is, you have to get permission from the owner/caretaker to place the cache inside the cemetery. Also I was required to put on the cache page if the cache was located inside the cemetery or just outside the cemetery. If the cache was hidden inside the cemetery, I had to note that it was placed with permission.
  14. I'll be going to Monterey over Labor Day weekend. Of course, I want to hit a few caches while I'm there. I need some recommendations on the best caches in the area.
  15. Wow! You guys have done a great job designing this coin! Please put me down for 5.
