  1. Our new Cx just arrived Monday and of course we went right out to try the new "toy", then again Tues. Tuesday was an overcast drizzly Oklahoma day. But the Cx worked great with all the cloud cover in a heavily wooded nature park we were caching in. We had our old yellow eTrex with us to compare the difference. Accuracy w/ the Cx remained 10-12' avg. eTrex was not even close to that, 70+' avg.
  2. I didn't even study for this. Hope I pass
  3. After alot of looking on line for the best price for a 60Cx from an authorized dealer megagps.com was the cheapest I found. $329.99 & $5.95 shipping for my entire order. We are very new to caching so I researched a lot for warranty info. etc.. Buying cheap isn't always the best. Garmin's warranty requires a copy of the original cash register receipt or an invoice from an authorized dealer for on line purchases. E mail order conformation "invoices" from non authorized dealers will not be accepted for any warranty work. So if anything goes wrong with that "cheaper" new unit in the 1st year your S.O.L. and out the $$ if it's a defective unit.
  4. Greetings All, We just started geocaching this week and are already addicted. Unfortunately we only have Mondays off together to go out caching. Not that we couldn't do it alone, we just prefer to spend this time together. Out doors, walking, talking and doing the drunken bee dance with each other. I have already used the forums to research up grading our basic eTrex unit (frog bougth this for me 2 years ago just for this purpose but just actually started geocaching with it). And found them very helpful. Once we get some more finds under our belts, and our sure we are going to stick with this. We'll upgrade to a much better GPSr. Not only for hunting caches but for hiding them as well. As we found out today, an overcast Oklahoma sky and tree canopies make for very inaccurate readings from this unit. Any way just wanted to say hi to all and thanks in advance for all the info/advice for some true tadpoles. Chris & Tamie Renard (Fox) (frog)
