hittin the road

Have been on holidays and arrived home yesterday. Imagine our surprise to find a bubble mailer containing a geocoin. Don't know what day it arrived but opened we were the very happy recipients of a dutch lion mystery coin. Thank you very much for this gift. The hand envelope that contained the coin even used our caching name hittin the road. Well the coin hit the road down under and arrived safe and sound. just sorry we missed its arrival, but as the say better late than never. Once again thank you very much for this beautiful coin.

Went to the letterbox (that's what we call them down under) today to empty the box. Surprise, surpise an unexpected mailer. What's this not expecting anything as have not traded for some time and haven't ordered any coins. We've been roped in by Geo_Bandit. Thank you so much for this unexpected beautiful surprise coin. Ok guys, I have to bite. EVERY geocoin purchase I make has a large shipping component. I way down in NZ, south Pacific! Not my fault - I was born in this beautiful land. Add to that, all shipping is in USD or Euro or stirling. Convert to NZD, and it can cost a couple of hours of wages to pay just the shipping at times. Ok - shipping from Europe to US? Surely it can't be so much. And with you being able to get most geocoins within your own nation, what's the gripe about occassionally having to pay a bit more shipping because you see a great coin offshore. Just average it out over all your purchases. All coins here are purchased offshore. Even our NZ coins have to be minted elsewhere and shipped here. You just don't know how lucky you are, if you have to groan about the occassional shipping charges. I agree this is one of the reasons I think twice before I buy coins. What with conversion rates on Aus dollars plus postage. Equals quite a few dollars

Would love to get hold of both versions of this great looking coin. My father served in the Royal Australian Air Force in England during the war as a fitter and was very familiar with the Avro produced aircraft. Would be wonderful if he was still around to see this tribute coin.

Had a look at the EBay site for the 07 Lackey coin. It states that all 07 coins are owned by signal and you would need to grab it from him if you purchased the coin. Question: If the coin is owned by signal then he is trying to sell a stolen coin that he does not actually own Could EBay stop the auction on this coin seeing that the seller does not actually own the coin?

Is there a way to download caches in one file for a particular state or region instead of having to download a page at a time I am a premium member
