  1. If the bot is only logging the cache in question once then what is the fretting about? Is it because someone might get a smiley they don't deserve? It seems that the more attention is given to this the bigger the problem will become. Put it to bed and let GS handle it. Don't worry! Be happy!
  2. Funny? As in "ha! ha!" funny? Yeah. Life is too short. GS will take care of it. They are pretty much forced to now.
  3. I'm not going to go and fret about the 40 logs to my caches. I've got better things to worry about. I have no need to delete them either. It seems that might feed the monster. I think it's kind of funny though.
  4. Hey ETLogEater. Nothing is wrong with bots. It was a pun. You didn't find my pun punny enough?
  5. You will have to write your description in HTML. Try using this editor to get the html you need.
  6. Thank you. I do have the coin but I'm not sure if I ever heard if it would be available for sale. I know 100 were given out but I wondered if it might have been for sale somewhere too. I was thinking about trading mine but it appears that coins weren't as big as they once were.

  8. Does anyone know anything about these? I know they were given out to the first 100 who completed the 2009 OSP challenge. (Our OSP park system is awesome!) It's a nice big thick coin. Was it available anywhere else for purchase?
  9. And this is what happens when you wait until the last minute. We actually hadn't planned on anything but this is a last minute thing. I think what we will do is at various locations post 3 sets of coords. At one of those coords will be a hidden container. Whoever grabs the container gets the trackable. One "prize" for every 3 coords. I'm still working out the details. LoL I've got the trackables though. :-)
  10. Thanks! Fire tacks do sound fun. I don't have any. Any more ideas?
  11. So we're holding another caching event in a hollow where it is really dark. Our two previous events here have included 5 temp night caches that each had a envelope with a poker card and we gave out prizes for the best poker hands. One event you followed colored glowsticks to each finals and the other just had coords. We had not planned on having anything like this but I figured I might be able to sneak something in there. I don't want to do the glowsticks or anything like that. I'm thinking about this. I have an open creepy dark wooded area that will be limited to only cachers. I was thinking along the lines of hiding unactivated geocoins in Altoids tins (or similar). I'd hate to just say here are the coords, go get them! Any ideas on an interesting way to do it? I'm expecting about 30 people. I'd like to split people up if I could. The other times people went out in giant groups. It's not much fun night caching with 25 people in a group! What? Give out a bunch of random coords? You pick where to look? Give out 5 sets with two of them being the actual locations? Can you think of anyway to make this interesting or fun? The event is in two days and I hadn't planned anything but now I'm thinking it might be fun. Thanks!
  12. If that Trimble advertisement is permitted then whatever links posted should be permitted. -Replied to from my Gateway® using my Microsoft® keyboard.
  13. None. They are way to convoluted to get published plus they aren't even geocaches. I have no idea why they are permitted anyway. I see no logic in it. If they are trying to take you somewhere to learn then lets make some museumcaches and librarycaches. ???
  14. No one said anything nasty at all. This is great for you and your kids. Welcome and have fun with it. You didn't do anything wrong! I'm sorry if you felt I wrote something nasty toward you. You seem to misunderstand too. No one said anything to make anyone feel unwelcome. I simply mentioned the fact that it was against guidelines. They said they were new and unaware. It is much better for them to learn here than the hard way. (Place a cache and have it rejected or archived quickly.) I'm sure that more than you two will read this and learn something new about the guidelines. As mentioned it used to be allowed but they changed that. Chill out Luke.
  15. Good thing, too. Plenty of those around here. Not likely. True 'dat
  16. Reviewers sure are different. I have been asked to remove the name "McDonald's" and "Snapple" from a cache pages along with removing a "related web page" link because it linked to a relevant newspaper article. (The newspaper web site has ads.) Yet oddly enough we can have an event inside a restaurant. Yes you can hide a geocache indoors. Have fun with it and just make it a traditional with coords. This will really wreak havoc for some folks! No. You might not want to do that!
  17. It's a good thing too as it doesn't appear to meet the guidelines.
  18. Doh. Missed it. That is a really vague search.
  19. Someone hid one a few feet from a new cache that we had hidden. No one ever claimed it but it caused quite a bit of confusion.
  20. Can you please move it back.
  21. Very few people use these forums. I wish you could check whether you like it or not. I also wish there was a way to change your mind about something. Maybe you can and I just can't find it.
