  1. DaMama & I came out of the woods one morning with bunches and bunches of ticks, we picked em off us for about ten minutes. I came home and did a search and found this. http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/weeds_and_wild_things/6305 I've tried it a couple of times in the same area and no ticks. I can't promise it will work like that everytime and for everyone but I was happy with it. And no deet. Food for thought. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...

  5. I guess the moral of this story is if you ALWAYS post that it's a themed cache AND/OR the contents of the cache, the SEEKER will have the opportunity to decide if the cache is one they want to hunt. If it's been out in the field for a while, read the logs to see if the things traded will be of your interest or not. Or just go find it, not worry about it and have fun. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...

  7. I made a suggestion to Jeremy a short time ago about a cache can with the earth in the center, similar to the virtual, but he said he wasn't sure where he was going with locationless caches. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...
  8. I'm all for that. We're glad to see some order to the Locationless arena. I'm glad you are holding the reins and not pulling back to hard. DaMama and I have found some very unique places and it has brought us to a new level of awareness of our immediate area. I believe these caches should have there own place but I will back you in what ever you decide. Thanks Jeremy. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...
  9. I think the discription should stay normal. If the Benchmark is on private property/RR land/Interstate HWY, it sure would be nice to know that BEFORE you arrived at the location. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...

  13. Great idea, lets not try to make it to complicated. Keep it fun. My pick is 100=bronze, 250=silver, 500=gold, 1000=platnum. Or just pins with increments of 100. 100, 200, 300, 400 finds etc. Great idea though. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...
  14. Not to mention the time you could have been out caching. We put you on the pedestal of geocaching elite. For all you do, this post's for you. ...Thank you... ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...

  16. Markj "If the cache owner agrees based on the picture that I found the location but that the cache has been stolen/plundered, then I think that should qualify as a Found" I disagree, if you find nothing you should log nothing. If the owner decides to change the cache to a virtual than you could log it. The find/no find stat icon is there for a reason, cache owners and finders should use that as an indication of the cache health. If anyone posts a find at a site than the next seeker should expect the same. If we start logging all the places caches were than there's no need for a not found icon. Every hunt could result in a find. Personally I'm not troubled by not found logs, I find that it's much more annoying when you post a not found and than e-mail the owner and they don't do anything about it or don't even reply. Of course that's only my opinion which has been known to change from time to time. ...Cache Responsible & may all your birds be in view... ...Faithwalker & DaMama...
  17. DO: Pick up some trash around the area. DON'T: EVER put any kind of food in the Cache. DO: Take pictures. And post them. DON'T: Take more from the cache than you leave. [This message was edited by faithwalker on March 29, 2002 at 01:02 PM.]
