  1. I really don't think they'll make a second round along the same route as long as there are new roads to cover. And by the time they do, my cache has already served it's purpose and can be retired... Sorry to disturb your forum...
  2. Taking a leak , got stuck ? I don't know but it sure ain't the way I'm conceiling my pin code at an ATM machine
  3. In one of my mystery caches you have to use Street View to find the information you need to compose the final coordinates. When you go on this 'trip' through London , you come across this : Stuck? It isn't a geocacher, but I tought it was funny...
  4. Hi, or should I say Kalimera ? I'm planning a summer holiday on the beautiful island of Crete, and I see there are lots of nice caches to be found there. But are there any caches I really shouldn't miss ? I will be staying in the Heraklion area, but I intend to rent a car so I'm not limited to the place... Any suggestions? thanks!
  5. Beware not to start WWIII Just kidding! Being from Belgium I understand the language problems.I try to make my caches in the local languages dutch & french and I usually add english as well. An additional problem to this method is that cache listings (especially multi-caches) tend to get too long for newer GPSr's like Oregon or Colorado. So I came up with translations on demand for my own caches...
  6. Sorry , I had a look to see if this had come up yet and didn't find it. Must have used the wrong keyword, I guess.. Thanks for replying. Thread can be closed.
  7. When you look at the "my friends" page in your account , do the hidden caches of your friends add up ? I feel that they're often missing one or two... The found caches seem to match, though...
  8. Same here, I changed my email but I don't get the validation mail. So I'm locked out
  9. We're having the same discussion here in Belgium. With the growing popularity of this hobby, the quantity of placed caches is growing rapidly, but the quality isn't... I know the majority of geocachers over here would like to see a sort of feedback system as well. Since this forum is being monitored by Groundspeak itself, let's hope this discussion leads to a positive result. greetings from little Belgium !
  10. Search for Bookmark lists is what I would like...
  11. I live in a small european country called Belgium. When you say a radius 50 miles , I can cover the complete country since I live almost in the middle of it... 1 mile : 7 5 miles : 45 10 miles :185 25 miles : 990 50 miles : 2837 ps : gas costs $ 9.53 / gallon over here...
  12. O please, you guys can submerge things, use water in electric fittings, use fake lightbulbs, fake wiring that's been cut, fake snakes & spiders.... Don't get holier than the pope
  13. There was a similar incident in the Netherlands a couple of months ago...
  14. Someone put my TB in a cache in Afghanistan . Your mission is to retrieve it . Any soldier interested in getting a FTF? It's a 5 months old virgin to discover over there...
  15. This may be true, but it's still more fun to find than a tupperware box!
  16. I agree, gettings positive reactions on your creativity is what it's all about ! Finding a creative cache container (or waypoint) is always a pleasure, but sadly it is more the exception than the rule here in Belgium.I for one am a huge fan of this topic and try to make my cache special every time.
  17. I have the same problem on my Mio P350 PDA... Help please Your devices probably have what is known as the Gps Intermediate Driver. This allows the programs on the device to share the gps. You can find this by looking at Start-->Settings, System Tab, and looking for an icon named GPS. In this, you'll find the gps shared settings. On the Access tab you'll find a checkbox for sharing the gps. It says: Manage Gps Automatically. Try checking this on. If this is not on, then the programs on the pocket pc that use gps will not allow each other to share the gps. The alternative to this, is to make sure no other program is using gps before running Wherigo. The, the Wherigo Player can find the gps because no other program will be using it. David. Mine works completely different , I had to turn this feature OFF to get it working !
  18. It works fine on a Mio P350 PDA , but check next topic for setup : MioP350
  19. I've found the solution to this problem : in the GPS settings of the device itself, there is an option that says "Handle GPS automatically" (I guess that's what it says in english, mine is set up in dutch). This is activated by default. If you deactivate this and Wherigo works like a charm. I've checked my other software like Ozi or TomTom and they still work.
  20. I've installed Wherigo on my Mio P350 and when I start to run the tutorial cartridge, I get a message saying I don't have a GPS signal coming in.How can you configure which port Wherigo listens to? FYI: when I start other software like Oziexplorer , the signal is recognized, so the GPS IS working... When I would know which port Wherigo listens to by default, I guess I could try a port splitter...
  21. I have the same problem on my Mio P350 PDA... Help please
  22. For my next project, I would like to create a fake molehill to cover the dug-in box. Anybody some ideas of how to stabilize the dirt so it always stays a molehill ? Just adding cement would ruin the colour,I guess...
  23. The weather wasn't too bad , only 3 out of 13 days we had rain. The rest was ok and even had some excellent days as well. We've enjoyed it, Dorset is really beautiful. Yes, we visited Brownsea island when the first scouts were arriving. I suppose you didn't see my son's TB anymore (Wile E. Coyote)? I launched it there and I've read it's no longer present. Haven't seen a log entry yet, but I suppose one of the geocaching-scouts could take it home. And since there were some from as far as New-Zealand , Canada or Hong Kong , it could take them a while to get home... Anyway, we had a wonderful time ! And didn't see any snakes,by the way... Hi VuurVos, pleased to hear you had a good holiday and got plenty of caching opportunities. In fact I visited two caches today that had you fox sticker in them! (Both on Brownsea Island). Sorry the weather hasn;t been any better for you ... it doesn't always rain in Dorset, honestly!
