  1. Just to add to the DNF question - I once logged 2 DNFs on the same cache on the same day. Looked for a while in the morning with no luck. I went on out to a job site and came back by and searched again for a while (after getting a hint from a previous finder). By golly, I think I earned both of those DNFs
  2. Thanks for everything, Dot!
  3. How do you create a talk command, and how do you verify that the information a user inputs matches something (I assume you create a variable with each of your answers and compare the input?) But how do you actually create the input? On a side note, I'm working on my first Wherigo and I've got the endpoint containing a cache about 4 miles away from the walking tour section. It sets the task true, but it won't set the location to active. The way I'm doing this is as follows: When the player enters the zone: Show a message to the player Set ztaskGoToMyZone Complete true Set zoneMyZone Active False Set ztaskGoToNextZone Active true Set zoneNextZone Active true This is the same thing I've done for the previous 4 zones and it works correctly. Is there any sort of limit on distance, or am I doing something else wrong?
  4. I also subscribed and actually got the premier issue. Nice quality, pretty cool articles. I was looking forward to getting the next one. That was back in the summer. I hate they went belly up. That was one expensive issue for me
  5. I have one TB that was in a race I sponsored that never made it out of the event But my bugs and coins that have traveled have been worth every penny watching where they go!

  8. That's ok, Konnarock - I've asked the admins to throw me off the same message board too. Idiots!
  9. I've also seen one USB/Serial converter work and another not. I don't know why....
  10. I was caching last year in Folly Beach,SC. There was a cache a a boat beside the road that the locals regularly paint. The current paint job was for the firemen that were killed last year in Charleston. There was a news crew filming it and I just told them that I was geocaching, so they wanted to know what it was. I was pulled off the the side of the road looking for the cache and a county Sheriff's Deputy pulled in behind me. Turns out he is a local geocacher too! So I got to talk to the deputy and the news crew for about 45 minutes. Quite a memorable cache!
