  1. Maybe a Garmin eTrex 10? I am doing my thesis on introducing students to GPS technology, and we used those because they are pretty user friendly and can take abuse. They cost around $120, I think, which is not too expensive as far as GPS units go. They run on double A batteries and can connect to a computer via USB.
  2. Is anyone else working on the Key to the Cryptonomicon cache? GCXBFC http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...6f-ff3d7826963f It's really tough, and I've spent a while trying to decode everything. I'd love to discuss it with anybody else who is trying to solve it.
  3. It looks like Crow when he dressed up as a Bellarian woman from the episode Space Mutiny. That is one interesting statue, though!
  4. I found the DC Travel Bug Hotel near the Ohio State University campus when I visited Columbus earlier this year. It was a metal mailbox attached to the wall of a business' courtyard. I was a little put off at first, but I caught sight of the geocaching logo sticker on the mailbox door. The hotel container was locked, but you could open the top mail slot and pull out the key, which was attached to a chain. It was one of the best TB hotels I'd seen!
  5. I was doing a cache at an Alabama rest area earlier this summer, and there was a bikini bathing suit hanging in a tree near the cache location. Lots of other logs mentioned the bathing suit as well, so it had apparently been there for a while.
  6. I turned 21 about a month ago, and have been caching since I was 18. I learned about it from a college teacher I had, and I went and found my first cache out of sheer curiosity, even though I didn't have a GPS. I don't know any cachers my age or younger, although there are a few in the area. Caching is now my mom's and my favorite hobby, although my brother can't stand it!
