  9. Hi I'm looking for a broken/non working eXplorist for parts. Specifically the little rubber pad for the buttons and even possibly the USB cable. I have a broken rubber on my enter button. I'm paranoid of getting it wet. Let me know what you have. Thanks
  10. I've been dreaming of doing a bass, as you may have guessed I'm a bassist! lol I was actually surprised that I had never seen a guitar or bass coin. I guess I wasn't that far off! I DEFINITELY want a few of those. Looking forward to some details!!
  11. I would have to agree with Scott. I use pocket street on mine as a way to identify the closes cache when I'm out and about, I find it more accurate with newer street info. I'm sure you can pick up some different topo maps that would be compatible with your device.
  12. what kind of connection does your palm have? Is it serial? If that's the case you'd need a serial to USB adapter, I'm not certain how well that would work to sync the unit though, never tried it myself. The only plam I have left uses USB and my laptop does still have a serial port.
  13. Received mine today WOW!! What a gorgeous coin!!! The pictures don't do it justice. I'm really glad I grabbed one of these. It's really nice and heavy. Great job!

  17. This site has a wealth of knowledge, should you ever have a question about your explorist post it in the GPS section and you'll usually get a response very quickly. I have a 500LE myself and find it a great unit. There is an FAQ in the GPS units section that I found quite helpful, it explains the batteries that can be used as well as charging options. Here is the link to them: http://www.gpsfaqs.org/faqs/magellan/explorist/explorist500/ http://www.mtgc.org/robertlipe/exploristwiki/
  18. I have one for my 500LE and would recommend them to anyone. I had a few scratches on the screen and they actually practically disappeared. Some of the new scratches since I put the screenshield on the device have vanished within a few days.
  19. email sent...finger crossed!! Congratulations, our first bundle of joy arrived 6 months ago today. I would have to say it is the most cherished memory I have.
  20. 2x Canadian MicroPucks. I'm new in my coin addiction and have quite a few coming my way in the next few weeks/months.
