Don’t even have ears, but they were burning, anyone out there calling my name

We knew of someone that did this as a way to get back at a person that was not liked and as a practical joke they created a screen name 0 hides / 0 finds and posted the cache in this guys front yard, am sure it was fun all except the poor guy trying to figure out why strange people were coming into his yard, remember a give away gps hunt in PA that went way wrong, police and everything
There should be some type of guideline like you have to find so many before you can place one, not meaning that the original poster is doing anything wrong.

If everyone played nice there would be no need for moderators, but there are so many that feel they are above the rest.

I like the warn meters it reinforces the fact that we are adults by it staying at 0% and have acted like it, and not trying to be the class clown.

A challenge to all sock puppets, we are not needed anymore.
Before this site was very unfriendly towards new bee’s and anyone that did not post a lot, but with the rules and guidelines for posting on the forums this has become a better place.
This sock puppet account is a group of more than ten people from around the U.S. that use it whenever they felt there was a need and we are all charter members. We are now putting this account into hibernation until a time it may be needed again, but do plan to keep our membership up to date because this by far the Greatest Show on Earth , well web site on earth.
OUR CHALLENGE is to give your sock puppet a rest and put it in hibernation for a while and see how thinks go here, you can always bring it back.

As you can tell most of the rescent Admin are using sock puppet accounts just for the reasons planet spoke of. There are however others that are trying to find out who they are to be able to unveal them for whatever reasons.
To become an admin it appears that you either have to be apointed, drafted, or ask to be one.
They do a very thankless job, but I for one thank them ( BIG HUG )

The reason there are trolls and puppets is that they get beat up on in here, and receive hundreds of hate emails. I know this first hand. If ya’ were a little nicer on the forums them there would be no need for us. At least I say ( I am a puppet )
So when we do post its like pay back you stop and we stop

I did not delete my logs and I don't know who did. It just goes to show that if you disagree with the powers that be your oppinion will not be allowed to be expressed.
How ever they, as the does the cache owner, have the power to delete and I still support that. I will not wage a private war now because I was deleted. If they don't want to play with me, I will take my ball and play somewhere else.

Se7en I disagree, The finder may have found it, he may have put his blood sweat and tears in to but the find still belongs to the cache owner. If he doesn't put the cache out, there is nothing to find. I could go and hike for a day and at the end of the hike there would be nothing, but by your criteria I could claim it as a find. I still say the cache hider has the ultimate power and until things change (and I'm not saying they should) thats the way it is.
As far as finds vs. posts go, with a very few exceptions I have almost a 3 to 1 find ratio more than the posters that have a 100 to 1 post ratio more than me. If I used my real name I would recieve hate mail until my mail box was full, it has happened in the past anytime I "disagreed" with the posting gurus.

Have any of you upstanding geocachers ever thought why someone even needs a sock puppet account? The reason I have one and I am sure a lot of others feel the same if you are a new bee you tear them apart on here and remind them that they only have eight finds or so and that they don’t have the experience it takes to login and post to the forums. All of the high posters on the forums with big posting numbers have very few real cache finds compared to the post numbers. I know there are a few that have high numbers on both, but most don’t. It seems like that all the forums posting that you do makes you some sort of expert on the subject of geocaching and all related maters, but you are not, and so you make a game out of doing it. So until some of you stop bashing every idea that comes along just because its not your idea. I am sure that a lot of the sock puppet accounts will stop when you realizes that you are not gods gift to geocaching and chill out a little.

What’s the big deal here, we live in the Great State of TEXAS and started approving next door, have had excellent training from the reviewers, 9key and prime here and cache in the area all the time.
