Saw a full moon in the back seat of a car as I turned around at the end of a trail while looking for a place to get off the road to hunt a cache once. Up in Washington so i guess it was too cold to get out of the car for them.

there used to be a cache in my area that was a coffee can with a bunch of golf balls inside the object was to sign one of the balls as the log. Also seen some that were baseballs or softballs as the log. Not the same thing but might be a use for all the extras you are finding.

I take mine anytime we are near a beach or in a area that only has a few caches in the area so we have something to else to do on the hike

Help I just bought a magellan triton 400 because i was tired of hand punching geocaches in. But I can not figure out how to get it to tell me how close to a geocache it is. The map screen only shows the direction to the cache but not how far I am. One other screen only gives it to me in tenths of a mile. I would really like to cut my search area down from 500 ft range. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. Thanks Familyschneider
