  1. nm, somone was faster:) so do I really have unit #10?
  2. Ah, I didn't know about the 1.0.1. I found it and switched it. joykinz, I downloaded Vantage Point from their website. I guess I make a new gpx file. It's late tonight but will do tomorrow morning.
  3. The best rechargeable I've ever used is "eneloop" by Sanyo.
  4. I just got my Mothers Day present today... a Magellan GC, so far I just LOVE it, paperless caching and easy navigation rock! I found my cache on it but no attributes or picture show up in the cache description, even though both are in my cache listing GCT6RT. Is there something I need to do in my cache listing to have it show up in MGC? Also, is there a way to load "my previous finds" into the unit so I don't have to do it all by hand? And my serial number is 00000000010. Does that mean I have #10 to roll off the line?
  5. If anyone want to send a bug to me, I'm in Nashville, if you'd like it to end up here. You can mail me it and I'll take care of it.
  6. PM sent back.. thanks so much!
  7. I have a travel bug that I'd like to send to South Africa. I'm hoping someone will be willing to let me mail them the bug and then place it in a cache there. Thanks!
  8. I have a TB that I'd like to send to Oz, would someone be willing to accept it in the mail then take it out when they go caching?
  9. Thats very cool, we will have to hunt you down to take a look at this little device that has so many people upset!
  10. My little old Palm IIIe works great, but I'm more then ready to add some color into my life... as cheaply as possible. I'd like color and to be able to use an SD card, and that runs cache mate nicely. Any suggestions? I see alot on ebay.
  11. I don't understand why people seem so upset? I think it's a great idea, and I know my kids will enjoy it because it looks easy for them to understand, plus I won't freak out if they drop it:)
  12. I think it's awesome and if you GC with little kids, this is much easier for them to use. I'm definately going to buy one for my kids!
  13. So is this something that I can submit to Waymarking.com for others to enjoy while in the area? And thanks for all the information, you guys are better then any search engine!
  14. Awesome, thanks so much! If it isn't in the database do we add it? I guess what I don't understand is the government putting something in the ground then not keeping a record of it.
  15. Ever since we found this today, I've been reading all I can online and all I can say is I'm more confused. What is this? I've looked up benchmarks in the area I found it, and can't find it in any database and wondering if there is anywhere I should log it. And what does USED stand for?
  16. I'm in the Nashville area, too, and just wanted to say that I feel for ya:) Ticks are insane, and the mozzies are really bad since we've had nothing but rain for over a week. (not complaining, we still need to make up for our recent droughts!) I've lived here 10 years and people tell me about "chiggers" and thankfully (knock on wood) I've never encountered them.
  17. I have one, works fine as long as you aren't in the woods or surrounded by buildings. I've had it for a few years and am going to get rid of it soon as I can.
  18. I think it's also the responsibility of the cache owner to keep it clean and stocked with good stuff.
  19. Ok, so I don't feel so bad now, at least I seem to be normal! Thanks for all the advise!
  20. We've found 50 caches, no problems, took some time off, and now that we are back at it, we've listed 4 DNF and the next day other people found the caches with no problems. It's frustrating! Do you guys have a system or search pattern or checklist in your head on how you search?
