  1. Well I am currently working on the Stones of Beaufort cemetery caches by HeadLlama these caches are tastefully done and educational to boot. From the looks of most of these old poorly maintained cemeteries we geocachers are the only ones paying respects to these long lost souls.
  2. In our town there is a boat ramp/park that the weirdos like to pick each other up at, the problem is a micro is hidden in the same area.Im waiting on some really bad weather to run them off so I can grab this one its the only one in my area im hesitant to go for.
  3. Saw a bit on the travel channel about a year ago. Had a Meg 315gps for hunting so now I am hunting caches in the off season.
  4. A Captain in the fireservice, 26 years on the job and still love it. Wife is a R.N. working in the O.R. For you E.M.T s out there this old smokey has his E.M.T.I ticket too.
  5. It Happens in cemeteries to or that might be the unhappy residents trying to tell me something.
  6. Under Palm fronds here in Ga on the coast.
  7. Bug spray and happy meal toys! Just kidding.
  8. In one of my caches that was near a river I put in a penn fishing reel for a first finders prize.
  9. I had the same thing happen to me on a micro in savannah. I wish i would have thought of dropping a dollar. It took 3 trips to get the little rascal. [This message was edited by SAM & KIM on July 08, 2003 at 05:39 PM.]
  10. We have gone back before to help one that was stuck in a cache for along time.
  11. I got caught checking one of my caches in a local park , by a nearby home owner. I went over what I was doing there showed him the cache and printout where to find the web site. By the time I was over he said he was going to borrow his brother gps and try to find some himself.
  12. As far as time limits go for caches absolutely not. I have three caches two of them are in low traffic areas. That means I will be able to maintain them easily and they could last for years.I think Jeremy has some great guide-lines for cache time limits if needed.Thats all that is needed more rules just takes away the fun and when that happens people will give it up.My two cents for whats its worth. (4 post in six months for me).
  13. This thread has been great reading and I have picked up some good ideas for futher caches. And the need for camo all to obvious,I use a couple down here in Ga and S.C myself sticks, stumps, leaves, palm branches. But when you get into the super-flage technigues Doesnt that drop your find count down? I may have just answered my own question the hunt is more important than the find.
  14. Its not Florida or California its Michigan I have one thats been stuck in a so called travel bug motel its really a front for a prison. He was moved by the owner of the cache in april just 8 miles to be held hostage with 8 other poor unfortunate bugs like mine The owner of the cache has not found a cache sense then. Dont let your bugs go to downtown Lansing its a trap. [This message was edited by SAM & KIM on June 23, 2003 at 07:02 PM.]
