  1. I've got the coins and I think they look great! I've labeled all the mailers and will be filling them tonight to ship Monday and Tuesday. - BGB
  2. Hi, I'm an Iraq Marine vet and would LOVE to help with the design process! I really enjoy playing around with the design on these coins, but I'm just an amateur. However, I did the CCGC CITO coin and another "secret" coin coming out soon. I could commit more to the club once I knew the monetary commitment BG Ben
  3. Now, I remember......BUMP Still time to save the CITO date! BGB
  4. That's one of the best looking personal coins out there Sgt! I'm sure you're going to be very popular Cpl Biggeeks...OUT!
  5. Hey Thrak, I went and took a look at you all's CITO event...looks AWESOME! I've been thinkin' about getting a bunch of pickups together at an event to get rid of the big junk at other areas, I wasn't sure if it was possible, but you NUTS have proven it is! No word on wether or not we'll have coins to get rid of after the event, but rewarding/encouraging CITO may be an option. No harm in asking BGB
  6. That's some good info. Atlantagal....Thanks!
  7. Just an update - I got word from "coinsforanything" today that the coins have been minted and I should be getting them shortly. I'm thinking next week. Update Thanks, Biggeek Ben
  8. I've got to remember not to post my address. Otherwise I'll be inundated with garbage from you guys. Thanks to everyone who is already committing to this event. There's still plenty of coins unspoken for. What's it called when you don't have much to say, but you just post to get your thread back to the top of the queue?
  9. Hi Poison Oak Cachers! Biggeek Ben here from your neighboring club the CCGC. It looks like you all are planning an event of your own, but I also wanted to invite you to a CITO event we're throwing on Dec. 3rd. GCR6HW It's in Salinas (hold your applause) which I know is a drive from SLO, but I'm trying to bribe people near and far with a geocoin. Hope we can see some of you up there BGB
  10. Hey CA Geocoin Collectors! Come and get a Free (well...at a cost of 2 bags of garbage) at the DEC 3rd CCGC Event. I know many of you have heard of this, but here's the actual listing GCR6HW Thanks for looking! BGB
  11. Central Coast Geocachers of California (CCGC) Cito Coin Nickel - 305 Brass - 75 Brass coins to be traded for a set # of garbage bags on Dec 3rd CITO in Salinas CA. Keep you eyes open for the listing!
  12. To post a pic in these forums you need to first upload the image somewhere on the internet. You can just upload an image to one of your old geocache logs if you don't mind the pic popping up on your log for awhile. To get it to appear in a reply: >click the IMG Button while posting a response. >A box with pop-up requesting that you input a URL for an image >Input the URL of your image,(if you don't know it...open the log that you have the pic in, in a different web browser and right-click>select properties...the URL will be in there) >Click OK Here's a pic from your gallery I got by the above method:
  13. Hi All, I just finished a Central California based series of caches by Touchstone, and I just had to post that the series was friggin' awesome. I don't want to say too much as some of them are puzzle based, but if anyone is getting near Monterey soon, allocate some time (two or three days) to completing this series. Complete these four caches in any order, being sure to pick up pertinent playing pieces: Water Air Fire Earth Then go for the kill at: Church of the Illumination Just Awesome. Now that we've finished the series, I had to share it with the rest of the WORLD!! Biggeek Ben PS - The Illuminati Diamond is the coolest FTF prize I've ever seen. Sure to be the stuff of geocaching legend
  14. Yep, I'm going to have to agree that 24K isn't going to get the job done. I'm spoiled - high speed internet is part of my rent 24K
  15. Now, if I could just figure out, how I lost my avatar...
  16. Hi Parrolet, To post a pic in these forums you need to first upload the image somewhere on the internet. You can just upload an image to one of your old geocache logs if you don't mind the pic popping up on your log for awhile. To get it to appear in a reply: >click the IMG Button while posting a response. >A box with pop-up requesting that you input a URL for an image >Input the URL of your image,(if you don't know it...open the log that you have the pic in, in a different web browser and right-click properties...the URL will be in there) >Click OK That should do it! Let's see that coin Here's a test to see if my instructions work
  17. Follow the link to Adobe 30 day tryouts. You get whatever Adobe product you'd like to try out for a month. What's cool is that it is the FULL version. Once your tryout is up, that's it. Then you have to shell out the $500. Yikes! I'd recommend using Adobe Photoshop CS2. With this new photoshop you get the "write on path" text tool you need to write in a circle. Hope this helps. BGB
  18. How 'bout dedicating the next version to the lowly mutt? I know two Biggeeks that would encourage me to buy some "If you can't decide between a Shepherd, a Setter or a Poodle, get them all ... adopt a mutt!" - ASPCA
  19. Alright Here's what I've got: If I placed a city name after your geocaching handle, could you please confirm that it's you? 20. I'll be posting a summary of this morning's sales in about 15 mins here. I think everyone made the cut though
  21. THANKS EVERYBODY! That was a lot quicker than I thought. Looks like a couple of people got there orders in as the big 'Indiana Jones gate' was closing down, so this may be a run of like 305 Not a problem. I'd like to apologize in advance to all the people who may have wanted one of these, but weren't at their computer this morning. This is the fairest way I could think of distributing these. Come on out to Salinas on Dec. 3rd, and I'll trade you a brass version for a bag of garbage. I'll keep the website up to keep everyone updated on the manufacturing process. Thanks again - BGB PS - If you ordered, could you please post the city where your coin is to be sent so I can link your geo-name with your paymet. Or a private email works as well
