  1. My initial enthusiasm fro this was short lived! WHY OH WHY does this only apply to lists I own?? I can remove caches from lists I own! It would be far more useful to be able to see our finds on other people's bookmark lists especially as it's not possible to filter out finds in PQs generated from a bookmark list Mark
  2. Seems a strange step to me! I could understand it if they wanted to keep bug reports separate from the plethora of bizarre feature and souvenirs-for-mediocre-achievements requests, but that doesn't appear to be what they are doing... Mark
  3. Any idea if there is a maximum number of 'friends' a user id can have? Thanks Mark
  4. At one time, I would have completed one 'just for the icon' but now that Groundspeak seem keen to keep adding icons which the majority of cachers can't obtain, this no longer holds any interest for me... Mark
  5. Yes! I have one which adds the findcount and blog link to the end of our logs It also copies the time stamp from field notes across to the log area I'm continually tweaking it but might make it publicly available sometime The other main one we use customises the green dropdown menu. I think there is a similar thing on userscripts so I haven't made it public (Although I did post a link on Facebook when I first wrote it) Mark
  6. It replaces the insert smile popup window link when writing a log I wrote this for our own use but when I came to upload it to userscripts I found that similar script already exists. This one is far simpler though (and nicer looking! ) The script removes the 'insert smilie' link and adds a box containing the smilies Just click the smilie to insert the code into the log Install it from here Mark
  7. Use the date filters when making a PQ...
  8. Sooner the better! However, the only time I am aware of them is when I see the under people's names on logs All other evidence of them has been removed with GM scripts and ABP filters Mark
  9. Same here! They are as pointless as Whymarking Mark
  10. You can favourite a DNF easily enough. Just log as a find, award a favourite point and delete/edit the found log The favourite point will remain in place Mark
  11. No, but I reckon poshrule (over 500 active caches) and T.A.G (over 300 active caches) would be somewhere near the top Edited to add: kevham1 is another 300+ hider Mark
  12. This sort of thing annoys me! Yet neither 'finder' thought to put a Needs Maintenance on the cache! Mark
  13. I've probably re-invented the wheel here, but I've written a GreaseMonkey script to add the day of the week to Event pages and listings http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/115362 This works in two places On an event's actual page the weekday is added to the Event Date. On the 'nearest.aspx' page, the weekday is added to the placed date only if it still has the 'new' image showing but does nothing if your chosen date format is dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy Mark
  14. The 'problem' occurs if you or a CO delete a log AFTER the My Finds PQ has been loaded into GSAK Then posting a new log will mean that the GSAK database will have two logs in it next time the My Finds PQ is downloaded I suspect this is what tarmacjohn's problem was Mark
  15. Not to be recommended if you've got FTF flags set...
  16. We may or may not have ammo boxes out there but if we have they are only used on Multi(s) and 'Bonus' Mystery cache(s). Obviously wouldn't prevent 'honest' muggling but might deter a dishonest cacher... Mark
  17. Giving up after only 38 finds and 18 months? They last a lot longer than THAT! One of ours has been out for three and a half years and 119 finds and is still OK
  18. Contrary to the popular belief that Geocachers are all good people, there are, in fact, a lot of light-fingered folk out there! How else can you explain all the geocoins and TBs that go missing? I've seen comments from COs before where, for example, a large bison tube had been 'upgraded' to a film pot - only a cacher would do that sort of thing. A muggle would just steal it. Mark
  19. Sorry if this is going off topic as time wasn't mentioned in the original question , but we usually put the time in as well if it's an FTF so the next person will be either kicking themselves for missing it by a few minutes or consoling themselves in the knowledge that they were hours off the pace anyway... Mark
  20. It's still there now as well! Mark
  21. Does the same apply to CITOs then? You can't insist that anyone actually picks up any litter as long as they sign the logbook? Mark
  22. That was by far the easiest for us! The gird was full the first time I ran it!
