  1. To go back to the OP's original point, there are other listing sites who don't have the same guidelines as GS, so it would be perfectly 'legal' to sell these sorts of caches and use/list them elsewhere
  2. If they're green ones and the shop has the same name as a fictional holiday camp (can't we just say 'Maplins'?) I've got several sets. I use them in large digital camera and in a GPS, and they do what they say on the packet.
  3. I don't use it for my main Geocaching tool (I use a dedicated GPS), but I use it as a backup and it locates OK. I also use it for Munzeeing and it's fine for that. It will depend on the area you're in though, and how much of the sky it can see.
  4. For Exeter, there have been a couple of well attended events at the Cat and Fiddle, just outside Exeter on the Sidmouth road, close to the junction with the M5. Good food, family and dog friendly.
  5. I had exactly the same last weekend. Eventually had to reset to factory settings (hold down Enter + Page buttons and press Power button, then follow on screen instructions). No idea why it suddenly wouldn't load - been working fine for months, even after last firmware upgrade which I did a month or so ago. Good luck
  6. One of each finish reserved - email sent
  7. Not sure if GS will fix this, but if you want your pages back the way you want, edit the TB, click 'Source' and remove the '<p>' and '</p>' tags
  8. My Modus Transporto has been spotted both in the wild and at events - just the luck of the draw I suppose
  9. Would also reveal where the finals of Puzzle Caches were if placed there
  10. Great looking coin. Like the idea of 'lit' and 'unlit' versions. I'll be going for one of each.
  11. Well done to the winners (he says through gritted his teeth as no one managed to crack Lost The Plot? ), and thanks to Birdie for organizing it. Now contemplating whether to reduce the puzzle strength, or just leave it to see how long it will take someone...
  12. Yes indeed - well done Wadders, and thanks for organizing the event. Seems like Woodbury Walker is organizing the next one, but I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to attend, as my puzzle caches seem to make me persona non grata to some!!
  13. Can't access, Ido not have the privelege Same for me. I can access the forums OK, but don't have permissions from this link
  14. OK folks. Mine's up and running (no - I didn't have prunes in my container...) GC1VTH5 - BPJC: Lost The Plot? Should give you something to do in between visiting all the other entrants' caches.
  15. No prizes for working out my callsign... When time allows, active on HF (normally Worked All Britain frequencies - I'm on the WAB committee), and 2m calling frequency when I'm in the shack, not that it gets much use down here in sunny Cornwall. Have a 2m/70cm HH as well, but with GPS, PDA, torch, caching bag etc, it gets a bit cumbersome having that on my belt as well! Kev
  16. It's my birthday, so to celebrate, I took the day off, and laid (if that's the right word) three caches. [Edit - sorry about second post - forum timed out so I refreshed. B****y computers!]

  18. Right click on the Monkey logo (bottom right of FireFox), then Manage User Scripts. Select Geocaching Enhanced OS Map Substituter from the list in the left hand pane, then uncheck the Enabled tick box, then click OK. Next refresh the window (F5 key). That should get the Yahoo maps back. Not sure why the server isn't showing these tiles - the 1940s maps are OK, and one of my sites that uses the same API (www.firestations.org.uk) has the maps working fine at all levels.
  19. Unfortunately, I still can't upload an image to a log. Emptied browser cache in IE and Firefox, but still now joy. Kev
  20. I'm getting it trying to upload an image onto a log. Windows XP Pro and Firefox Kev
