  3. Look atthis mini-map. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=3923 I guess South Dakota has been moved?
  4. Nice to meet you! I've visited a few of Rubber Ducky's caches. I'm not going to Sturgis, but will be camping in Custer SP. If there are any more that you think are must see let me know.
  5. There a quite a few in Indy. I like White River Adventure. There a bunch in Southeastway Park, which is actually right off I-74, but I-70 and I-74 cross each other in Indy.
  6. Also if you have a TB you want to go East I'll bring it back for you, just let me know how to get it. I'll be in SD Aug 9 -15
  7. I am heading to South Dakota in a couple of weeks, if you have a travel bug you want to go out west let me know or if you have one in SD and want it to come back with me. I will be leaving Indianapolis on Aug 7th and will be gone 1 week
  8. I will be heading to South Dakota in a couple of weeks. If you have a TB you'd like to get some miles on it. Let me know and I'll take it along with me and drop it in a Cache out west. Or along my route. through IN, IL, WI, MN, SD
  9. I will be going to Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Badlands NP and Custer areas of SD. Area there any must see caches in those areas and are there any I should see on the way there from Indianapolis via I-90? Thank You
  10. I had a similar thing to that. I had a phone from Tampa, Fl and was in Orlando and made a 911 call, it rang the Tampa 911 may phone was not gps at the time. It was confusing to the 911 operator. I hope that's been fixed since then.
  11. If you haven't left, I have a bug that needs to go south (South America. I am in Indy if you are still going this way let me know and I'll drop it in a cache near I-70 For ya.
  12. Finally got by that benchmark, and is IS a Indian Department of Transportation Benchmark disk. Sorry for all the confusion...
  13. I also saw the geocaching bills on Wheresgeorge.com. Within a couple of days, I had my first geocaching find.
  14. I enjoyed a bridge too far: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=11332 It's not hard, but I love the area REAL quiet, and a great structure.
  15. Actually Indianapolis has 2 routes to Chattanooga. 1: I-74 to Cincinatti to I-75 south to Chatt. 2: I-65 South to I-24 to Chatt. #1 goes through Knoxville (Takes a few minutes longer, but is a prettier drive) #2 Goes through Nashville So I could go 1 way and back the other
  16. Excellent! Since I'm leaving Indy on Sat night and returning Sun Night They'll all have to be quickies. The ones on top of mont eagle look interesting though. I also like the cache-o-matic what a great Idea! Do you mind if I do somethig like that in Indy? I have some jars like that as well. (I would be placing them around here) _ Already have 1 of those that's going to be a TB.
  17. Makes sense, I wasn't even thinking about the history... most lands are probably protected. I'll check out mid TN. Since I'm driving from Indy I have to go right through Nashville.
  18. Great got those, anybody else? Also why is there only a few? And then most of those are virtuals.
  19. stop guessing the hard passwords it obviously "password"
  20. I'll go by it tomorrow and post any other info on it. I thought the Indiana highway markers are thinner and do not have a disk in them.
  21. I thought I had a better picture, I'll go get another one. I do believe it said US geodetic sp? survey. $250 fine. It is located about 30 feet off the east side of hwy 238 just north of the Hancock/Hamilton County line near Fortville, IN.
  22. My actual first find was on the side of the road that I saw on top of a concret post, but for some reason when I stopped to look at it, there where no markings. I looked in the geocaching.com site and the usgs site and neither have it listed. It looks like it's been there for quite some time. Anyone ever had that happen? http://www.friskynet.com/bm.jpg
  23. That's neat, but my rank is wrong. It shows I only found 15... I've found 20. still small number....what am I doing reading these forums, I need to go get some more geocaches!
  24. Thanks for the clairification on the NGS not USGS.
